Why to boot up bartpe to install winxp ? Well that way you can customize your installation on the fly. i'm not a programmer but i altered Kelsenellenelvian's WPI-Lite a bit to create on c: runonce.cmd. the file i changed is generate.js which located in Wpiscripts folder. i tested it only on winxp, to run WPI on bartpe you probably need a plugin to enable mshta. this is mainly a concept not a fullworking app, so dont ask me why you cant get it work. the main reason i posted it here is to give you all an idea what can be done using bartpe. and maybe someone with more experience in programming will take the lead and give us a fullscale app. more on bartpe & winxp: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=68252. I don't know why i can't set up auto update through winnt.sif, like sometimes it works and sometimes... so this is for enable auto update: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update] "AUOptions"=dword:00000004 "ScheduledInstallDay"=dword:00000000 "ScheduledInstallTime"=dword:00000003 'though there're more keys in the registry, there is no need to set them manualy. I'm using my own wxp unattended inst' for a long time now. i surfed a little lately and found a chinese warez distro of wxp that uses ghost with no use of the orignal setup. i myself dont speek chinese, i used google for translation. if there any chinese native on the forum who could check it out and maybe translate some info on that matter. because of the forum's rules i cant post links here, just google "ghost xp sp2". you can use google language tools at "http://www.google.com/language_tools".
