Hi, nuhi. I've created a vLite version from the latest Server Build (June CTP - 6001.16606) after you told me in the Main-vLite Thread, that vLite can handle it too. Installation is no problem, but I'm not able to remove or install windows components. Take a look at the picture to see the error message: I checked the cbs.log, but no I didn't found an error. Also the problem and solutions program doesn't log an error. So I checked the Event Log and found those logs: filtered_log.xml Any ideas? André

I have not tried it but vLite says its supported. Which Builds?

I tried to remove the entires from the registry but I still got an error. The progressbar runs to the end and then a MessageBox pops up. But the confusing thing is, that cbs.log doesn't show an error. Do you know all places where Vista reads to get infos about the packages?

no. I thinks it's a problem with some integrated hotfixes. I did it the same way like with XP. First I've integrated all my fixes with the tools from the WAIK. Now I started vLite and remove the things you see in the INI-file. I checked the cbs.log and found that the WCP wants to read a file from a hotfix for SideShow, but I removed it with vLite. So the WCP fails to deinstall or install a new Windows Component. I tried to delete the keys from the hotfix in the registry, but this doesn't work I have to check my updates first and must leave fixes out for components that I'm going to remove.

Start downloading the german LP from WindowsUpdate and cancel this. Take a look into the WindowsUpdate.log and you can find the link for the LP. Copy the link into a DLManager, download it and exztract the lp.cab from the exe. Now read the WAIK-Docs how to integrate the LP into your English DVD.

I think his Intel card is not compatible, so he has no chance to enable Aero Glass. You can buy a cheep GeforceFx or Radeon >= 9500.

there is a loader which allows you to install and run Halo2 on XP.

Your onboard Intel graphics adapter seems not to be compatible for running Aero Glass and this is necessary to run Flip3D.

IIS 7.0 is only part of Vista and WIndows Server 2008. If you ant to use the IIS 7 use Vista or the server
