  1. The Report It Produces Green Text Would Be It Run Command. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> whoa...thats quite a script there...wish i could understand it!!! thx for posting but its not really what i had in mind, however the links that Yzöwl posted look promising... thx both of you!
  2. ok...what i want to do is to make a Menu (using batch or vbs maybe?) that will run the first time you get into windows, which will give you different options about what software to install... i want to be able to use the same disk on 2 (or more) computers, however, one has a LG burner, the other has Pioneer, and the bundled software will only work with the specific drive...and i want Bitcomet installed on one PC, but not the other, etc, etc... anyone have a way to do it??? doesn't have to be flash...i remember u used to have a menu system as my PC was booting up, which was in the Autoexec.bat and config.sys times...ie, 1.Dos 2.Win95 3.Dos wo/CD Rom 4.Norton Commander and you just pressed the approtraite number...now, that was some time ago, and have long lost the actual files... anyone have an easy way to do it??
  3. lol...thanks for that...im still new to this, and don't know wat the files should look like... even so...that is pretty obvious, now that i think about it... THANKS!
  4. ok...i have 7 or so programs that i want to be installed to my unattended install... i am using the RunOnceEx method. when windows boots the first time it installs the first program fine, but the skips the other ones...it sort of moves through them as if they get installed, but they done... i have attatched my RunOnceEx.cmd file runonceex.cmd
  5. THANKYOU! will make the change and test now... the website has it listed as
  6. ok, i've used the OOBEINFO.INI process of adding in one User account to my Unattended install CD. However, after windows installs and i get to the log-in screen, it is just blank, and does not show ANY user accounts. the only way i can get into windows is to boot into SAFE-MODE, and that messes up my RunOnceEx install as the Windows Installer Service doesn't work in SAFE-MODE (or, something like that) i have attached a copy of my OOBEINFO.INI file. it is in the \$OEM$\$$\System32 directory. it should be getting copied, as i have the OEMINFO.INI and OEMLOGO.BMP in that directory too, and they are installed fine! OOBEINFO.INI
  7. if you don't mind having WMP 10 Goto Here, someone has compiled WMP10 and all the addons for it, into a slipstream install... download that, and use it instead of the WMP.exe install file...
  8. tried that, only way i can get in is through safe mode... thought of running sysprep from safe mode, but it might mess up my unattended install... anyone have any ideas??? could it have something to do with the VPC Realtime Clock or something???
  9. im using a normal Windows XP Home SP2 OEM CD...not branded or anything like that... and it ONLY happens in VPC...no problems on a normal PC (well...not THIS problem anyway )
  10. Ok, here is my prob... im making a Unattended install CD for Windows XP (duh) when i try to use Virtual PC 4 to test it, i wants me to activate windows as soon as i log in... but, when i install onto a normal PC...it works fine... this is quite annoying, as i don't always have access to another PC to test it on, and i would really like to be able to test it using VPC...
  11. cool, thanks for that!!! i'll re-compile and test it tomorrow (hopefully) you'll see me again soon
  12. Hey all...i've been lurking around her for the past 1-2weeks slowly making my own Windows XP Home SP2 Unattended Install Disk (DVD now going to be multi-boot!) so far going good, got Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPack (really great BTW) and i just finished putting in all the updates using the custom SCVPACK.INF process...as well as MediaPlayer10, MSN7 and .Netframework... all that has gone pretty good...however, is there a way to skip the very end of the setup process...where is says "Lets spend a few minutes setting up your computer", where it asks you to say yes or no to Automatic Updates, set-up your internet connection, activate and put in user name(s)... pretty much, all i want to have to do is select the disk/partition that Windows is being installed onto and enter the CD Key...then i want to come back and have the desktop up ready to use...
