  1. Tomcat76

    New updates

    Thanks
  2. I haven't seen a localized version yet. Never really tried to find one, though, since the English version is working fine. @Floppy Please remove msxml2sp6-kb887606-x86-nor.exe.

    New updates

913800 and 910393 are supported by the current test release
  4. It still takes 28 minutes? No, this isn't normal. Try removing the hotfixes that are not on our lists (if there are any) or use the latest test release (60924a). I don't think it makes a difference but it depends on what they change in the source. I never actually tried them out...
  5. I don't know yet. I had a failed install (error in setup.exe) but it might've been the DVD+RW. Better safe than sorry for a "code green" release, hehe. I'll continue testing later and if it was a false alarm WMP9 slipstreaming will be reintroduced
  6. It doesn't matter. HFSLIP doesn't filter on the version (yet)
  7. The new test release is out
  8. There is no Norwegian MSXML4. Same goes for MSXML6. The problem with the detection of your language is that there's a semi-colon ( ; ) in front of the "Merknad til bruker" string. Either remove it yourself like this: ; Merknad til bruker: IKKE SLETT ELLER ENDRE DENNE FILEN. ; ...or wait for the next (test) release but then you need to wait a few hours.
  9. Yes to both of your questions in green. I'll do some tests for the language...
  10. Also remove these: WindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ENU.exe -- for English and Japanese only WindowsXP-KB905414-x86-ENU.exe -- get the Norwegian version instead msxml2sp6-kb887606-x86-nor.exe -- you need msxml4sp2-kb887606-x86-enu.exe msxml6_SDK.msi -- not supported Either remove msxmlcab.exe or msxml.msi; they are the same. As long as your source language is not detected correctly, you should exclude WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe. Can I have a look at your PRODSPEC.INI file? (SOURCE\I386)
  11. Win2K without WMP9 is fine but you need 60923exp4 which excludes rdpwd.sys from the Rollup (server-only file). No takers yet?

    New updates

913800, 910393 :: no, because of EasyCDBlock.inf and kb913800.exe (needs to be hardcoded) 902344 (Media Center version) :: yes 923198 (Media Center version) :: yes
  13. Just a quick FYI... Win2K + WMP9 caused an error on my test right after entering the product key and pressing Enter. Something like "There was an error in setup.exe and setup needs to close. An error log is being created." Then it rebooted automatically. Win2K without WMP9 is still in progress but it's already way into "T-13", installing the SVCPACK proggies, without erroring out. I used two different DVD+RW discs for this so it still may have been the disc. Will be back on this...

    New updates

KB902344 is supported. You see "0 files copied" because there's already a more recent version of msscp.dll in the HFSLIP working folder at that point. That newer version is coming from wmfdist95.exe. msscp.dll - 11.0.0.4332 - 2005-08-03 (wmfdist95.exe) msscp.dll - 10.0.0.3934 - 2005-06-26 (KB902344) KB902344 doesn't update any other files so ditch it
  15. Ha... Stupid me. I installed on the D: drive of a multi-boot system but I checked the result on the C: drive. Oy! Everything's looking fine using XP SP2, WMP10 and wmfdist95. Microsoft Update is happy and HfNetChk doesn't report any "less than what is expected" problem. The only thing I noticed is that there are no playlists at all. I used 60923exp3, btw.
  16. Well... It doesn't work. Hold off a little...
  17. I think an external file which only does GDI+ slipstreaming is "bloatier" than adding 4 lines of code into the main script. I assume you're talking about WMP. Everything is slipstreamed except playlists that don't exist in the Windows source. Ask Camarade. Don't know how he figured it out, but I guess they are more prudish where he lives so he didn't have to think too hard You can start testing with 23exp2. I'd give it a "code green" if you don't include WMP or wmfdist, haha @the_guy Let's see if it works first
  18. I should stop saying things like that...
  19. Don't know if you're able to... Only you can know Sure... Start a different thread. I'll take a look at the list if I have some time
  20. You can try "exp4" if you're up to it... I won't be adding/changing anything for now until I start testing over the weekend. Still need to think about wmp6cdcs.exe for Win2K.
  21. I think I found it. Just a sec...
  22. Windows XP has the shortcut out of the box because of WMP8 and 9. If it can't be done with one of the INF files in MPSetup.exe or a special command on one of the executables, I may have to drop WMP9 slipstreaming. Force-adding it is not an option because the "Start Menu", "Accessories" and "Entertainment" folders are named differently depending on the language.
  23. For those you'd need one of the experimental releases. The current stable doesn't automatically pick up new binaries from Type 1 hotfixes. BTW... It just occured to me that you probably won't get a shortcut icon for WMP9...
  24. Whoops... I knew I forgot something... The descriptions never make sense to me. MS propably released this as a separate hotfix because it isn't Patch Tuesday yet, or because it's important enough that "dummies" should see it clearly... but the latter doesn't make much sense since it would be shown on the Windows Update site in that case. My guess is they will update the KB920958 hotfix on October, 10.
  25. HFSLIP has supported WindowsMedia9-KB917734-x86-ENU.exe for Win2K for a long time. Are there any others?
