OK and you are saying that because... I want the same menu produced by RunOnceEx but to show and progress through my list of recommended updates... What creates these windows?

THanks for the suggestions. I think they would be nice but it seems to replace one type of gui with another. I kinda wanted to keep it in the traditional format.

I'm thinking it has something to do with my RAID driver. I had a folder with driver but didnt do the rest. I will save that step for last in the futute.

I was wondering if anyone knows hot to create the installation windows similiar to the one used whe running RunOnceEx? I've following the instructions pretty well up to this point but I would also like to add some of the recommended updates. I have made an entry for the recommended in the RunOnceEx file and would like to see another window open to tell me which recommened updates are being installed. It seem that I only have to choses and that is the old DOS prompt type way or nothing at all and I want the pretty graphical one. Can anyone help me with this. P.S. (Progress bars?)

Well, I deleted the cmdline.tx, made another VM and the screen is stuck at the bootup. Same as before. Cant determine right now why it is hanging. Any ideas guys?

Last night, I tried to use this file to install my programs. When using VMWare, XP appears to have installed properly but all I get is a black screen on boot up. I though something might be happening in the background and left my PC on overnight but that was not the case. It just locks up. I know I need to eliminate the last section of my winnt.sif... Does XP call the cmdline.txt file just because its there or Does it need to be specified?

I am curious as to why it seems that a lot of the members here would rather intergrate the mass storage drivers with the OS ones instead of using the OEM/TEXTMODE method?

Was I suppose to download this file from somewhere or is it embedded in the code or something? I have one file holding me up from having my cd and it Q823718.exe. I missed a step with this one. Thanks for your help.

Yep. I realiza this may be a dum question but Im assuming when I update to WMP9 I dont need this update?

I got this error message after updating my CD using the rollup instructions. It said: Error Loading C:\Documents The specified module could not be found. Any clues to what this could be?

My recommendation is to start over. I am a complete newb and try to follow things to the letter. Mine works pretty good. One hotfix did not install but Im working on it.

Does anyone think this can be carried over to the oem driver directory?

As I was testing my latest unattended installation, I noticed that I could not install the latest drivers from creative without previous driver being installed. I found this odd but carried on. I extracted the file and udpated the drivers from the drivers directory using device manager and update drivers. This updated everything and sound appeared normal. I think this drive directory can be added to the drivers directory. Any input to this?
