  1. I have another question. In the guy's list there are less hotfix for OE6/IE6; so what is the right list?
  2. Good Work, Tomcat76! Just to report that when I select "windows media Player 9" MPSetup.exe is not showed in "List of files that go in the HFSVPK_SW folder"
  3. Well, I have to test it... For now, I only take a look to the code and seem that there isn't in hfslip a portion of code that patches KB900725... The upper line work only for kb894320.
  4. Yes, of course, KB900725 replaces kb894320.
  5. kb894320 is replaced by kb900725 so this line is no more required: IF NOT "!Localization!"=="English" IF EXIST TEMP\UPDATE\kb894320.CAT IF EXIST TEMP\webvw.dll DEL /F /Q WORK\I386E\webvw.dll plan to make a patch for kb900725 because webvw.dll has the same problem: when such file is registered, the resulting webview.js is corrupted.

    HFSLIP (my test)

HI tommyp and all! This is my last test of hfslip... here a report! first boot windows 2000 have to process the regkey ZZZDX9 and install hfslipdy.inf... BUT this is not happened on my system: this regkey remains in my registry and it is not processed. (I don't know why...) So I have to install hfslipdy.inf manually... (manual installation of hfslipdy.inf works)
  8. I know this is not a solution; however you can try this: echo >empty.txt fc /LB700000 yourfile.txt empty.txt >newfile.txt Result file should be in ANSI but like this: T h i s i s m y n e w f i l e etc.. You can try /u (unicode) option in fc command (this will use a different codepage; simply specify it with chcp )
  9. (833987) is called IE6.0sp1-KB833989-x86-ENU.exe, it affect ie6 for win2k. It's included in vork's list. see here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms04-028.mspx
  10. @saugatak in my system my method works... however can you use the method posted by murvun? just to test if it works. go in hfslip director and type: ATTRIB -S -H FIX\*.* (no output is done) IF EXIST FIX COPY /Y FIX\*.* SOURCESS\I386 (output the files copied)
  11. @ tommyp Also, if you want, you can use xcopy instead of the copy command... try this: (it copies hidden, system files and overwrites old and read-only files without confirm) IF EXIST FIX XCOPY /H /R /Y FIX\*.* SOURCESS\I386
  12. @tommyp @Electrician Well, the problem is that I haven't xp and I don't know if there is sysoc.inf or sysoc.in_. So if in the installation CD of windows xp (and/or 2003) there is sysoc.inf instead of sysoc.in_ my lines (old and new) are wrong. You have to modify this line: (this assume that also in 2003 there is sysoc.inf in source) EXPAND -r SOURCE\I386\SYSOC.IN_ WORK with these: COPY SOURCE\I386\SYSOC.INF WORK\SYSOC.INF IF "%VERSION%"=="2000" EXPAND -r SOURCE\I386\SYSOC.IN_ WORK and this line: MAKECAB WORK\SYSOC.INF /L SOURCESS\I386 with this: IF "%VERSION%"=="2000" MAKECAB WORK\SYSOC.INF /L SOURCESS\I386 @all can anyone post which sysoc.inX file are present for each installation CD of windows?
  13. @fdv @tommyp Edit: talking about windows 2000 pro and webvw.dll I don't know the benefits about the new version of webvw.dll but I know that if you want to use the last version of this file you have to replace the file winnt\web\webview.js (it's the corrupted file in italian version... and I think in all other international version that have the "computer near me" issue) You can replace such file bringing a copy of it from a 'normal' installation of Win2k+sp4. (!!!warning it differ language by language!!!) this is only an info, infact using webvw.dll of sp4 could be right too. (as you do in this version of hfslip) ...I don't know the benefits(? seem microsoft enjoying make corrupted files) of the new version... sure fdv knows it Hope this will help you... AH, I'm forgetting... Great, great work tommyp!!! bye
  14. I'm back @fdv I see in your instruction page that Windows2000-KB899591-x86-ENU.EXE is needed... but Microsoft Security Bulletin tells windows 2000 Pro is not affected from this issue... (but only W2000 server) this is the url: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/MS05-041.mspx So if I use W2k pro I can not include it, Is it right?
  15. 5,6,0,7426 I have changed it to the correct value, and this makes WU no longer list the JScript update. However, this undoes the installation of the Windows Update Agent... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> @tommyp the bug of the "version" value occur because scripten.exe isn't in HF folder but in SVPK_SW folder... I don't know about Windows Update Agent... ...Good night!
  16. After installation can you open regedit and tell me this value? go to HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{4f645220-306d-11d2-995d-00c04f98bbc9} and report me "version" value. if you include scripten.exe 5,6,0,8825 should be the right value. if it's less change the "version" value to the above.
  17. Script__.cab is a part of IE6 and must be place in IESRC folder... otherwise, if you want you can add the script__.exe hotfix (it is an update) into the HF folder NB '__' is according to your language!!! (ex. 'it' is italian, 'en' is english... so scripten.cab is only for english version, scriptit.cab for italian and so on...) no need the JScript 5.1 update, delete it. If you want you can place the Root Certificate Update in HF folder instead of "SVPK_SW" folder. bye.
  18. Well, I think there is no issue with q832483 cat file...(it works) but why don't you filter cat files for this update? I think it's more elegant and for filtering OS you need to add only two lines (in BOLD): ... DEL /Q TEMP1\*ME*.CAT IF "%MIN%"=="0" DEL /Q TEMP1\*Winxp*.CAT IF "%MIN%"=="1" DEL /Q TEMP1\*Win2k*.CAT MOVE /Y TEMP1\*.CAT WORK\SVCPACK ..... Greetings! Lupo
  19. From tommyp's readme: "If you do not want to integrate the update rollup 1, but you still want to integrate IE6, you need to download MSXML3" If it still doesn't work I don't know why. I do the TOTAL slipstream (with the hotfixes, ie6 integration etc.) and in my version it works correctly. Try the TOTAL slipstream. (if also it doesn't work, it could be a language issue)
  20. d3dim.dll is a part of w2k+sp4 and to me (in italian version) result that is not modified from the script in your SOURCE folder there is a file called d3dim.dl_? and in your SOURCESS folder? If the first answer is yes and the second is no try to do the Total Slipstream in a volume with more free disk space. @tommyp your script do not send an error output when a volume is full. (so the SOURCESS folder have less files)
  21. Hi to all, i am new from here and i am italian. i'm trying to do the "total Slipstream" in the italian version of w2000. I changed the above lines and also all the line 'js56nen' (js56nit), but i don't know if it is possible slipstreaming simply renaming these files: Windows2000-KB891861-x86-ENU.EXE (ITA) js56nen.exe (js56nit.exe) Some info: 1) I notice that in my version the unpacked sysoc.inf is codified in UNICODE and not in ANSI so the script do not modify that file. It's a bug in the script? 2) The [Components] section of my winnt.sif file seems not work ex. mplay=Off has no effect. this is my WINNT.sif: [Unattended] FileSystem = LeaveAlone DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore TargetPath = WINNT UnattendMode = ProvideDefault [UserData] ComputerName = "HAL" FullName = "Lupo" [Display] BitsPerPel = 8 Vrefresh = 60 Xresolution = 640 Yresolution = 480 [Components] fp_extensions = Off iisdbg = On mplay = Off [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents = YES [Identification] JoinWorkgroup = Workgroup [Data] MsDosInitiated = "0" UnattendedInstall = Yes there is a way to integrate WMP9? Sorry for my English and congratulations for this great work!
