  1. Hi MSFN's, following problem. I have done a master installation of Win7-64 and syspreped it with 'Sysprep /oobe /generalize /reboot'. Now that I'm booting via PXE I was expecting to get an nice screen from the WDS with options to capture the image. But only thing I'm getting via PXE is the std text screens where I can choose between the WDS installs and the old RIS installs (I'm running WDS in mixed mode). What do I have to do get the right WDS screen? Cu Daniel
  2. Dear all, based on my working standard I tried M1, M2 and M3. Both the first running fine, but using M3 i get an error when accessing the system properties: rundll32.dll - unable to locate component...framedyn.dll was not found. Re-Installation... Can anybody give me a hint (and why it's not a problem in M1/M2)? Daniel
  3. Found the solution for M2 in another post of RogueSpear - thanks. I have tested M1 and M2 now and M1 takes about 50 minutes, M2 40 m's. I will take a look on M3 and compare them to my original installation now. Thanks for your help. Daniel
  4. No need to erase a Dell manually. All of our hundreds machines went through RIS without any problems. Daniel
  5. Hi fly, don't know why, but AD is required. See M$ Daniel
  6. When running through M2-setup in my i386\$ folder nothing appears but two cmd-files. Is that correct? Daniel
  7. @RogueSpear Yes, there's more than one RIS-Image. The other one (my standard at the moment) is running fine. If I choose M1 (and copy the driverpath to my sif) everything is working correctly, if I choose M3, all the files are copied, but the sif file isn't used. @Br4tt3 I'm quite sure that oempreinstall is set to yes. But we all know that after while you don't see things anymore that are lying just in front of you. I will check again. Thanks for your answers. By the way: I have read, that implementing all the drivers would make the M3 too slow/not working. Is that correct? Maybe this is the problem. Daniel
  8. Dear gilesw and all others. is this project stil alive? I'm very interested in it and could send in some drivers for dell modems. Daniel
  9. Dear all, on 2003 server set the properties of the driverindex from read-only (standard?) to read/write by unchecking the box. That will do the job. Daniel
  10. Hm, maybe you'll find it useless, but if you have to support notebooks it's very important: DriverPack Modems Since this would be a little work to do, I'm offering my help for this. Though I'm using BTS not in an productive enviroment (testing it for three days), I would replace my standard RIS Installation (only) if there was a modem support. Please tell me what do think of it and if there is a wish to let me help. Daniel
  11. Dear all, I'm trying to integrate BTS-Driverpacks via M3 into my RIS-Installation. So I think I've run through the setup correctly and extended my sif file manually with the driverpaths and so on, neither the drivers nor any other entries in my sif file seem to be taken. Yes - I can choose this new method on the OS-Choice-Menu, but looking it up after the installation it seems to be an out-of-the box-job (registration, tour, drivers... - all the things I do through my sif). Seems as it would not be read. Has anyone any suggestions? It is under i386/templates. Daniel
