Anti-Virus to become obsolete.
rhythmnsmoke replied to rhythmnsmoke's topic in Malware Prevention and Security
Whew! man, my hands are starting to get tired. You must missed the part where I explained about taking down the protection of the machine, installing your software, and bringing your machine back up to include you now NEW software in the protection matrix. Notice you said KNOWN virus. The test case is this, take Norton, create what they call a Zero-Day exploit. Now deposit onto the machine. Nothing will happen, because Norton dosen't KNOW it. Take another test case, create a script file onto a Norton computer, to have it say, open the registry editor. Lets say you name it "test.bat". Launch it, and watch it run and open your registry editor. -

My response to you two things. 1) Wait till they get a load of this. 2) You can only say that until someone shows you that it exsist. We don't need to update our solutions. That's why we have the AV industry getting a little ticked off. If you had billions of dollars invested into a product that is getting beat up all the time by new viruses, and someone comes along and develops a new technology, wouldn't you be a little upset. You would not believe me if I told you how many times we have seen agencies that DON'T want us to get big. They have used all of their political power and pull to dethrone us. Simple reason, is they have all their R&D funds going into a technology that has been around since the early 90's. They don't want some new kid on the block that dosen't use that stuff, to provide a better software than they do. That's why I told the other guy in the previous post, we are NOT AV software. We are a Security Solution, that makes the use of AV software obsolete. Until we have a new file structure, there will be no new way of writing malicious code. Given the way it is designed, it can not go undetected and eradicated by our system. Even if it's new or old. We Know Everything In The Computer! -

I think where I'm different here is, I'm not trying to sell it to you. I can't sell it to you, cause it's not available for you yet. So, all I'm doing is educating you. I don't plan on posting this and going away. So, don't worry, I will contribute other places on the forums. No worries, many people are quick to judge. So, all I can do is remain professional about it all. I'm 25 yrs. old, not some middle aged person, trying to promote thier company to increase sales. I run it everyday all day. It dose not impede on your daily activities with such things as a scheduled update of the signature database. Because there is none. I can download stuff to my hearts content(given the fact that I have privileges to do so). I don't see any system degradation. But I can only tell you that. You might think I'm full of it, but it does run lean. I have the usual stuff on my compter. Firefox, and IE browsers, Nero burning rom, Outlook, Office, Text messaging software, ect.. And I don't have to worry about the software poping up in the middle of me doing my work. I could tell you that, but then I would have to kill ya....LOL. No, 10years of "C" code will allow you to do that. I'm not the programmer, so I can't give you specifics on the way that it's coded. It works though. The man behind the software is truly a genius. I have never seen someone with his skill when it comes to programming. I did not attend this particular test in question. However, given the nature of the software, it dosen't matter if it was malicious or not. Now why is that. Simple reason is this. If you take a traditional AV software and install it. Now, take a known virus and just copy it onto the drive, the AV software is not going to do anything until you try and execute it. This goes for batch files, virus, worms, trojans. Untill it actually tries to execute will the AV start it's defense, and only if it's a Known attack. That's why malicious code can so to speak "Wake Up" at a certain time the programmer specified and wreak havoc on your machine. The virus could have well been on your system months prior to it launching. Because of the binary search engine built into our software, anything that can execute will not be able to lie "asleep" on the machine. We are going to know it's there, and we are going to eradicate it. That goes for anything that can execute. Scripts, batch files, already exsisting batch files that you altered, etc... Several, mostly all use a auto-update feature. But we don't. ImmuneEngine does not need to connect to a seperate website to download any update. We don't house any signatures in office, nor in the software. Simply put, if you need to update the computer, you either setup the function from the central console, or bring down the shield when installing the update. Ok, check this out. Every piece of code that has the ability to execute, has a section of it, that CANNOT be changed. If you were to try and mess with it, the entire executable will have to be scrapped. You wouldn't be able to run it anymore. Now, let me tell you about our old technology when it still on the drawing board, and we were still modifying things. The old technology relied on file extentions. We would detect any new or old executable that had any of the common extentions on them like : .exe, .vbs, .ocx, .clsid...etc. We detected 12 file extentions by default, with the ability to add file extentions should someone start making TOM.Kill. However, there is a fundamental flaw with our approach. If you were to copy say Calc.exe to another part of your machine, and rename it to say Tom.txt, and say "YES" to all the dialog boxes that ask you about changing the file type. Now, what you will see is calc.exe change into a text file, with the text file logo. Now, if you were to double click it, it should run the calc program still, even though Windows recognize it as a text file. This is the primary reason why the binary search engine was created. Because of the binary search engine, you can name it anything you want now, but you can't change the underlining factor that it's still an executable. So, you can make it say John.John, we are going to know, and eradicate it. This is one of those things where if I explain it to you, the comprehension is not going to settle into your mind, unless I demonstrate it to you. The you will be able to grasp the full ability of the software. -

My question would be this....How are you going to get the newly designed program/routine from if&then into the machine? By the way, it's not an AV program. It's Security Software. We are above AV software. Might I recommend you do a little reading of our white papers from the website, before you assume that there is no solution better than current technology. For there to be another solution that can do what we can do, they would have to scrap what they have and start all over with a new frame of mind. Right now, NO one is doing what we do. They all say they can, then you dig deaper only to realize that all they do is combine already exsisting technology and think it can compete. When you read further, all you see them doing is combining...a 1)Firewall, 2)IDS and 3)Signature updates, and then try to pawn it off to customers like it's the newest thing. Then call my bluff. If you read the previous post in their entirety, then you would have seen the part where I said I am willing to give a "LIVE" demo of the software with Live Meeting I have set up on the demo machine. All I would have to do is just get your e-mail, so that I can send the instructions for you to connect to view the desktop of the machine. For EVERYONE that is interested, I will be leaving work today, and going to go pick up my demo machine. I will get everything up and running with Live Meeting, and give you a "Live" Demo of the software. Live Meeting will allow 14 people to join and view the demo. The only problem is, I don't have a conference call phone, so I can only explain verbally to 2 other people, cause I have 3-way calling on my cell phone. Everyone else is just going to have to wait, until I post again on the board to explain what it was you were veiwing. FEEL FREE to flame me all you want AFTER the live Demo. And call me the greatest BS in the world! I am a very sane person. Only someone that is dumb would not go on this long and try to reply to everyone the best they can, if I was just BSin. I WILL NEVER POST HERE AGAIN, IF I AM JUST FULL OF IT! -

No not everyone, just me!first to ask only, the rest of em can take a flying leap <Edit> The most important thing now for me is how restrictive, this product will be in a networked environment. Yes I'll have more time to spend on other Admin duties, due to the lack of virus, and local admin problems, but will I have to spend it constantly at the probe console </Edit> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The answer is no. It's desgined to be an install and forget utility. The only time you need to interact with it, is lets say a the new Windows Media Player comes out, and you want all your machines to have it. Bring down the machines from one central console, push down your software, and bring the shields back up. Corporations are not constantly installing software all the time. Your next question might be, "Well, how do you let Windows auto update?" We have already thought of that too. And there are features from the Admin console that can allow that to happen. -

Feel free to ask more questions about the pic, and what the buttons are. I will try to reply to everyone as quick as I can. Like I said, I'm at work, and we are working on a new feature. So I'm testing that. Oh, one more feature the Gov./corporate ver. has over the home is It can stop remote hackers. Example...stopping you from gaining root to the machine through cmd.exe, or using PStools to get to cmd.exe. Funny thing is if you do a search on PStools, you will not find a single article on how admins are using it to do malicious things. But in actuality, they are. But every article is talking about how it makes the Admin's job "SOOO!" easy, and how it's a "Good" admin tool. The home ver. may eventually have that feature as well, but right now, it dosen't. -

Lol, now I can't just start handing out copies to everyone... Good try. But one thing to point out to you is this. The Product does All the selling for us! That's another reason why we don't bother with updating the site that often, or making it look pretty. I will iterate again, It is truly "Word of Mouth". And because you haven't heard about it, is because only the top executives of major corporations and high ranking officials in the gov. are talking about us. So, no funding will be spent in the direction of imporving the website, when no one ever visit it. See, what happens is this. One of our connections way up in the government will mention us to another executive. They will start a project their to try and break it. Produce their findings, and pass along "Confidential" information to other ranking officials. We use thier testings of our success as a little buzz in other corporations ears. Oh...by the way. Here is that screenshot I promised. Now what you are looking at is the main probe/client interface. There is no pretty graphics here nor there. Bottom line, it gets the job done. Ignore the Cardomain logo, I am a car enthusist too, and it was just a quick way to get the pic up. -

Etiquette This shouldn't even be in the WindowsXP section either... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not trying to promote the site. I'm trying to educate the masses any way I can, to show you there is something far greater in technology than the popular AV software of today. To be quite frank with you, probably 95% of the people we deal with on a daily basis have never even seen our website. This is a true "Word of Mouth" product. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey do you have screenshots? Try to infect yourself just to show us how it reacts or something... Why is this not released to public if it's so good? EDIT: haha see, that guy is just more politically correct but says the same thing as me, stop whining, this is IT forum and we talk about tech stuff, and I bet if this project was made my nuhi or allanoll nobody would complain... sometimes people on msfn tend to be close minded... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure, I can post screenshots for you. Give me a sec. I'm at work and we are running some new test. And because it's so new, it's a new way of thinking. People are not going to grasp the concept of it that fast. So we are starting with the gov. first, "because all roads in security lead to Washington"..as my cheif programmer always says. The technology is truly "Push button" style. Let me get some screen shots for you...hold on. -

It runns independent of the Microsoft OS. By that I mean it has it's own built in event handling system. It does not require the OS to tell it something has occured like other security products. It's very neat, with all the little tid bits it can do, besides just protecting the machine. You wouldn't even imagine the things we shut off even if you have Admin Privileges to the whole machine. Even in Admin mode, with ImmuneEngine running, you can not get to things like: regedit cmd.exe services computer management I mean you simply just can screw with the machine anymore. Now I know their is probably a question brewing in your head about some of the tools I just listed. Simple fact to the matter is, if you need access to those tools, then you also have access to ImmuneEngine. You can tell ImmuneEngine to allow you to access that part of the system. But if you are not suppose to be there, then you are not getting in there. Now, as far as Admin's that need access to the command prompt. We do not tread on the Admins ability to do his/her job. All we do is secure it. That's why we have a more secure BBXcmd.exe available for them to use. It's more secure than cmd.exe and it can be tracked. It does the commands just like cmd.exe does. Infact it actually is cmd.exe with a pipe around it. It just does not allow you to do the things considered to be malicious, like launching programs via the command prompt. -

I'm not in sales, I'm in IT. I'm not trying to advertise the product. Look at this as an educational thread. I don't have the power to sell it to you, so I have no hidden agenda but to just educate the good people here on this forum, that soon....soon, a new technology will emerge and force the AV companies to scrap their whole technology. This is as good as I say it is. The fundemental difference in government/corporate vs. home version. I will just point out a couple "obvious" differences. Gov./Corporate 1) Networking capability--A trusted Admin console connected to as many probes as you can handle. 2) Protection from Admin's causing damage to the machine. 3) All functionality is a lot more complex, in that you can deploy/push down signals from the main console. 4) The user will never see the alert generated from thier malicious activity, but the Admin, and every other admin that has an alert module on their desktop will. 5) Because it does NOT use the system driver approach that traditional, and every other security software on the market does. It works in Safe Mode. 6) Protection for static data. 7) Ability to authenticate EVERY...EVERY executable being launched, before it passes to the kernal. Home version 1) All management is done by the user. 2) Ability to run as standalone, not requiring a network to operate. 3) Still has the core technology built in, like the binary search engine, but as of right now, the policy dispatch is not in it. I believe we will be adding the policy dispatch to it later. Soon, the home verison should be up to par with our networking version as far as features are concerned. The difference will be just the ability to run as a standalone. -

If it can execute, it will get blocked and ate. When it comes to installing software, all you have to do is send the probe machine a signal from the main Admin console to bring down the shield, either globally for all the probes talking to that machine, or individually for seperate occassions. Corporations are tired of people running around, installing software all over the machine. This software will no longer allow you to do that. Software will not get installed unless the Admin knows about it. More importantly than just the end-user, Admins are wreaking havoc all over company networks. We secure the computer for the All Mighty Admin as well. -

How does "Sitting at the computer with a cd loaded with 100+ viruses on it, and launching each one of those viruses against the machine sound". Because it has been done. And we killed every one of the them. Then you might say, well they were all known viruses. I would then challenge you to create a virus un-known to the wild, and try to run it, only to find out that it wouldn't run, and the binary search engine would sweep the computer to destroy it and alert the Admin console everything you just did. I run it at home on my desktop, does that also count as being in the wild. The software has been through rigourous testing, and pass with flying colors. It has been hit my "RED" teams of government agencies. It has also be hit by hackers that work for certain corporations. Let me give you another example real quick of a test we performed. There was a test done, by an independent lab, they took several boxes and lined them up. Install several different AV software, and then ImmuneEngine on the last computer. Now....all they did was just deposit some program on to each box. Did not execute the program at all. The box with ImmuneEngine running because it has the first ever binary search engine, did a sweep of the machine(as it's always constantly doing a sweep) saw the new program, and cleaned it from the machine. Every other AV software machine in the test, sat there dumb as a post. -

Like I told the other guy, I wasn't posting to promote a website. We are a small company, and we don't have a web designer. So no fancy graphics coming from here. Besides that, we rarely update the site. When we promote our product, it's truly by "Word of Mouth". I didn't expect ANY one of you to accept this as true to begin with. It's like me trying to tell you something is RED, but you only see Blue. But I am prepared to demonstrate it live to you via the internet. All you need is a PC with an internet connection. PS...If any of you think that I'm trying to pull one over you, Call my Bluff! I will demonstrate it to you. -

My Co-CEO, also the cheif programmer of the software always comments this "All roads in security lead to Washington". If you are not protecting something of importance in the gov. sector first, then you can forget about the public/corporate sector. The focus of the company right now is to tackle government entities. This is not available to the general public, although we do have a home version. This concept is hard to grasp even for people who have P.H.D's in computers. -

No, guys this is real. It might sound like an infomercial, but I run it on my own at home. Now, if I wasn't prepared to meet all of your skeptics head on, I would have never posted this in the first place. If you guys don't believe me, that's cool, I can demonstrate it live via the internet to anyone interested enough to see it work. I have Live Meeting setup to run, and all I have to do is send you the instructions on how to get to my desktop to view. -
Hello guys and if any gals are on this forum. But this is my first post, I usually don't tread over to the tech forums, just mostly read tech news. However, I have done a few searches on here to see what AV software you guys used, and what you liked. Well, I didn't want to revive an old forum so I just made my own. All the AV software that you did polls on are obsolete. If you want to know what is the best security product on the market, it's not available for public use. The software that makes AV obsolete is called ImmuneEngine created by BBX Technologies. Just a few features that make AV software seem like childs play. 1) No signatures required. No database is created of know viruses. It contains the first ever binary search engine. Designed to pick up any executable, be it desguised or un-desguised, known or un-known. 2) It has an automatically deployed authentication defense thread that analyzes every executable on the system. If not originally apart of the computers matrix, then that executable will not run at all. It will intercept every executable before it is passed to the kernal. Then the binary search engine will sweep and eradicate it(not quarantine) from the computer. 3) When installed, system idle process is an average of 95 to 98%. Designed to be literally undetectable to system resources. 4) Runs independently of the Microsoft OS. Traditional AV relies on the OS to tell it something has happend. 5) Protects from the inside threat. 6) Because it does not use the System driver approach, it continues to provide protection in Safe Mode. This is the only software solution that will literally make you get out a screw driver to change the hardware of the box to break it. It has been put up against "RED" teams of certain government agencies to be broken. It has been in a line up test with the basic AV software in government test facilities and come out the winner by a landslide, just for the simple reason it has a binary search engine. You guys have never seen this software, so I'm sure you all are skeptical about it. But it does live. Viruses are not designed to combat with such a system as this. You have to turn off the software if you want to get a virus in. And if you don't have access to it, then your not turning it off. Nothing can do what this software can do. And I've only described just the core stuff. There are other little tid bits of security that it depolys that I have not explained, such as securing the cmd.exe program. It's not in the public sector, so I figured that's the reason none of the polls have it mentioned.
