  1. Works a treat with 2.0.0.4 which is great but can a switch or setting be added to stop the bookmark importing prompt from coming up on first run? Thanks
  2. I'm trying to add a desktop shortcut to my works VPN connection and I'm not having any joy. I've tried copying the shortcut to the guid number from an existing install but it doesn't seem to want to resolve properly, is there a correct way of making the shortcut? Many thanks.
  3. Hi, I've found how to stop the Autoplay feature from browsing the cd/memory card/usb drive and prompting for you to select what to open the drive with. But is it possible to disable this for the CD/DVD drive but yet allow the normal autorun.inf file to work so cover discs and games etc will work as normal. I'm guessing that this will be an all or nothing thing. Thanks Jase
  4. After loads and loads of installs I did (whilst not resolving it) find that the RAID driver for 6.66 64-Bit and also the latest 32-Bit version were both sh1t! To make matters worse even the unattended install wouldn't work until I removed the RAID drivers and that was on a single SATA drive ?!?! So now its out with the RAID and back with my nice unattended disc
  5. Did you solve this as I'm having the same issue with my SATA RAID on an Asus A8N-Sli? Cheers
  6. Hi, I've just trying out XP64-Bit and I'm having a major headache with RAID or at least it looks like thats the issue. I'm installing normally, no unattended stuff and after the GUI install section when it should hopefully reboot into Windows proper its showing the loading screen and then flashing up a BSOD for about a tenth of a second before rebooting. This happens all the time and only turning it off will stop it. This also happened on my 32Bit unattened install where I assumed it was a driver config issue of my own making. I did get the 32Bit version to install alright with a normal install so I know that the RAID works. Has anyone come across this before? My setup is :- Asus A8N-SLi, original BIOS but just about to try 1008. Latest XP64-Bit Nvidia drivers from their website. (6.66) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Success!! A live install worked a treat and the res changed to what I wanted. Unfortunately I had added autopartition and it decided to leave the existing W2K install. Not to fear one quick tweak later and tis removed Well after 2 days of solid work I've now got my install with probably 99% of the things I like tweaked. Here's my configs for anyone to check out and use. autologon.reg qlb.reg regtweaks.reg winnt.sif cmdlines.txt accounts.cmd cleanup.cmd RunOnceEx.cmd
  8. I'm pretty close to testing this install on a live system so I guess I'll see what happens there. I'm hoping I have more luck that before as the last time I did a live test I'd used nLite to create my disc and on first reboot after the very first install process it blue screened @ Nepali - I won't be creating any extra users thankfully as this cd will be used by me alone. Worse case I'll know what to remove if I want a logon screen in the future. Thanks for your help people, the moral of the story - don't rely on VMware as helpful as it is
  9. Well the refresh addition didn't make a difference still boots in 640x480 mode but I've managed to get the auto logon working by adding a cmd file to the cmdlines.txt that merged the autologon registry tweak and this has done the trick. Just need to sort the resolution problem and we're cooking on gas
  10. Hi, I've checked my winnt.sif and its spot on with the only exception being I've not specified a refresh rate on the display settings thinking that it would be better to leave this out to default it to whatever. Would that cause it to fail? My unattended and guiunattended are both the same so I've no idea whats happening there then. I'll try adding a refresh rate to see if that helps on the display settings. Cheers
  11. I'm having a couple of teething problems with setting up my unattended install. At first when it rebooted it was setting the screen resolution and prompting me if this was alright and wanting me to confirm I could see the text, so far so good. Now its stopped doing this and instead when it eventually logs in its in 640x480 mode. I'm using VMWare4 at the moment to test the image and I've even tried using the process of adding the VMware drivers but this hasn't made any difference and besides I could select 1024x768 b4. My Winnt.sif file does have the correct entry for 1024x768 so I'm at a bit of a loss really. The other problem is I've found the option to skip the first welcome screen asking if you want to register and do the auto updates but now its stopping at the Welcome login screen. Where am I going wrong?
  12. Thanks I'll give that a go. I tried using the nLite option but for some reason my install kept blue screening with 7f after it had done its initial file copy. So the gloves are off and its time to use the deploy tools plus some old fashioned know-how
  13. Thanks for replying, but my question was exactly where would I put that. Would it go into this RunOnceEx command file as is or do I need to use the %system% variables to run it or put it somewhere else? Cheers
  14. Hi, I've been searching the forum but not come across a how to for this. I'm wanting to add the regsvr32 command to my install to remove zipflr.dll but I'm not sure where to put it or what the exact syntax should be. I'm currently looking to use the RunOnceEx in my setup and I'm guessing I can put it here. Thanks for any assistance. Jase
