An FBI notice similar to the ones that warn home-video viewers not to make or distribute illegal copies is headed for CDs. The recording industry and the FBI have struck a deal that allows CD packaging to include the FBI's logo on labels warning consumers about the illegality of file-sharing. The label is not mandatory, and record labels are free to design the warning however they wish. The Los Angeles Times reports that warnings are expected to appear on the backs of CD packaging and that there are discussions about creating CDs that would display the warning onscreen when played on a PC. Warnings emblazoned with the frightening FBI logo are the latest step by the Recording Industry Association of America to enforce their copyrights and curb the practice of illegal file-sharing. On Wednesday the RIAA filed lawsuits against another 532 suspected online pirates, which brings the total number of P2P network users the organization has sued to 914 since September source: mtv.com

Many of you know about hotels that supply videos and ps2 games on their tvs. they normaly have some sort of box either covering the cable jacks with a box to contol the stations. is there some sort of way to connect an xbox using an adapter witout removing the box, i can disconnect cables, as long as they wont mess up the cable tv.

that would be funny. hello, we are hte mp3 police. we have a warant to search you pc. if u resist, we will search by force. whats the point of buying an overpriced cd when most of the profits go to the RIAA? many artists dont get much from the cd so they dont care. it the middle man thats causing the problems. and those cd protection things are really that great when u think about it. many people now are getting p3 players, so they need to rip them. if not, they'll just start downloading again.

the music store has been very sucessful acording to apple, but they say it wont be there major profit imput in the music section. for that, they have ipods . I found something else out. its just like the itunes library, except its for windows. 99c per song, 9.95 per album, with 30 second previews of the songs. its the same thing as apple. story here

the mac people have the istore in itunes, just pay 99c per song or 9.90 per cd. no starting fee. but mac only makes 10 percent profit on the songs so its not there faut its so expensive. also. i tunes for window is comming out on october 16th according to the mac wesite discussion forums. there is suposto be a special event on that date. problem is that its only available in certain place. U.S.A. im sure, not canada. go check here or here
