  1. thanks arabianhorse for help , i've already done that .. but it was still making the same window .. but it seems that some of the nLite addons i made is the cause , cuz when i removed them it went smooth and tidy .. i'll track it down thanks guys
  2. i did it , but due to wpi name it didn't work the first time and gave me path error ( which is good ) ,, but the cmd window still appears !!! i thought this is WPI's cmd file we used in earlier versions , which searchs for the cd drive letter and executes wpi using the environment variable .. but if it ain't WPI , what is causing it!! i think i'll have to ask nuhi about this ..
  3. using cmdlines.txt calling a .cmd file should produce a cmd window also , but i'll try and c thanks for the fast reply
  4. from nLite Runonce , it's called through nLite.cmd i think so .. should i ignore nLite and go with Winnt.sif ?
  5. Hi guys, There is some CMD Windows flash during installation of nLited XP SP2 , is it normal to be so ? or is it something wrong with nLite ?
  6. Hii guys , I've made my WPI config , and done everything just great ,,, I've been testing my WPI installation on a fresh windows install , using VMware to try again and again with the help of snapshots .. However, When completed my whole installation , i integrated WPI with nLited version of SP2 , and began testing .. Whenever the WPI installation stage comes , i can c the old WPI.cmd window ( which i hate :/ ) comes up , then WPI.hta starts to load , and still the cmd window shows till the end of installation I need to find a solution for this :/ i've just finished everything and this is annoying me
  7. You mean they fixed it :-o But even that , MST gives you more control over your installation , like customizing which components to install , and even integrate some registry tweaks into your silent installation ..
  8. According to KAV forum's post (http://forum.kaspersky.com/lofiversion/index.php/t15041.html) there is no another way but order your key from them again .. and save it to your hard ... I duno for sure , but i think it is stored in Registry Try this one : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\LicStorage Backup the key and try it on another machine ( VMWare .. etc ) try it and tell ..
  9. It will restart , and this is the whole probelm we are talking about
  10. maybe you are right , it is only up to the user it self , for me i use batch scripting , so it is easy to add some extra lines .. and that maybe hard for someone else .. But, do i have to use the MST file with the EDITIED edition of the MSI ?? to get it not to restart ???
  11. I'm Searching for it .. and about the mandatory reboot , there is no way out of it .. just reboot when you finish all by running the 'avp.exe' .. and i think if u unattendly install your profile , and activation key , there will be no post install wizard With all respect sir , there will be updates to the program , and it is easier to use switches and batches than editing every single release that comes up .. And there is other thing , the edited MSI file rebooted as well for me .. it didn't differ than original one and i didn't manage to edit the MSI myself as the post maker explained ( with all respect to him )
  12. i think i have one http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=75599
  13. Hello guys, I've finally found a work-around to Silent/Unattended Installation problem of KAV and KIS .. We all thought about the MSI itself initiating the RESTART command , but this ain't right .. The KAV or KIS Main exe itself (avp.exe) who does the restart issue .. and it starts just after installation finishes .. After a few shots , i found that avp.exe must start after installation NO ESCAPE , and it restarts after setting some neccessary configuration to the system .. So, i closed the avp.exe just after it starts after installation ( -> 'tskill avp' ) , but i realized that it must start the first time and reboot or it won't work even for thousand manual restarts .. So here you are what i did .. Silent.cmd <-- My Silent Installation Launcher .. kav6.0.0.300en.msi /qn /norestart tskill avp This way it won't restart just after installation , but u gotta run AVP ( and it will restart ) but this time u control when to restart , maybe in UACD after u finish all programs use it instead of 'shutdown -r" Restart.cmd <-- Completing Installation "%ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\avp.exe" - For a Complete Unattended Install , you can put your *.KEY file ( whatever the name as long as the extension is .KEY ) in the same folder as the MSI Installation file .. and you are activated automatically - About Automatic Profile Import ( i've not figured out the way , but i'm going to .. ) ** NOTICE : Excuse me alot if somebody else came up with this before me , cuz i searched alot and alot and didn't find any working solution .. neither here nor KasperSky Official Forum ..
  14. Hello guys, I've had much problems with Current TweakUi Package of Microsoft , No Silent Install Support, no Control Panel Item So i decided to make my own packege , using Inno Setup , i made another packge that only supports Silent Install .. and nothing else other MS's .. Then, while surfing WWW .. i found a small utility that places a Shortcut Item for TweakUi in Control Panel Folder .. and that was it .. After tracking in the Registry and some tries , i made the new package v0.2 Features : ver 0.2 + TweakUi Copied to System32 Folder instead of ProgramFiles. + No StartMenu Icons ( for geeks like me who's StartMenu goes for miles  ). + TweakUi Item placed in Control Panel for fast and easy access. + Installer Support for Silent\Unattended Installation, You can use this command : "TweakUi_Setup.exe /Silent" Download Links: @SendSpace @RapidShare @MegaUpload @FileHD (Direct Link) @FileLodge
  15. That is easy thing to do i used this method to change my boot logo , and i'll reshape it for u to work with safemode switch .. 1st - This one to start next time in SafeMode ( Added /SafeMode to Boot.iNi entry .. ) bootcfg /raw "/SafeMode" /A /ID 1 2nd - This one to start next in normal mode ( replaces parameters by '/fastdetect' .. ) bootcfg /raw "/fastdetect" /ID1 EnJoY!
  16. here u r another err0r : this should be: and u can also check the deploy.chm file for the reference since the setup indicates it is the cause of the err0r Setup never lies
  17. that is really good method Alan , thx for sharing the info .. gonna try it right the moment
  18. try using /syspart command from a normal windows PC , attach the new hard disk that needs to have a system installed , and run this "%WindowsSourceFiles%\I386\winnt32 /syspart:F /unattend:Unattend.txt Where F is ur first parition on the new harddisk ,, and unattend.txt is ur unattended answer file ..
  19. It will b more easy if u post ur cmdlines.txt , and RunOnce items ,, just to ensure a useful specific solution ..
  20. Hiii i will offer my little expreince on that issue , and hope it helps u .. first of all if u r able to install the program itself like NIS or any other protection application , then u can update it on one system and have all systems updates as well ,, that is becauz updates are files phyical files not registry enteries , but about the program itself , there is two probabilities for a program to store it's configuration : either in the registry , or in configuration files like ini files or such ,, in the first probability ( the registry ) , i think u must install the application on each system ( in the same dir ) just to store registry based settings and configurations , ( or just back registry values up and install them on each system ) , that depends .. but , for the second probalbility ( the files ) , i think it is very hard to have the same copy of the application running with all systems , especially sophisticated ones that store information about system and user .. thinking of something like that , if u can achieve that , u can point the whole programfiles dir for all systems to one folder ( using winnt.sif ) , and change only things that r not compatible with this way ,,, howeva , i think ur question needs a little clearification .. i hope i said something right
  21. try to delete him using "net user blahblah /delete" or if u want u can keep him and assign autologon to ur created account , i think u can make use of my UserAccount Section of my Unattended.CMD :: Create a new user and autologin net user "Err0r" /add net localgroup Administrators "Err0r" /add net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited net accounts ASPnet /delete reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon /v DefaultUserName /t REG_SZ /d Err0r /f reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon /v AutoAdminLogon /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
  22. or u can just add this to ur winnt.sif [TerminalServices] AllowConnections=1 and if u allow Windows Firewall by default , u will have to make what Frank said , and here is the correct sytanx to the command , add it to ur winnt.sif [GUIRunOnce] Section netsh firewall add portopening TCP 3389 "Remote Desktop" i think this is the easiest way
