  1. Hello everyone I used nLite to create a slimmed down unattended install of XP Pro & have run into 1 minor problem. When users go to the Start Shut Down, the box successfully shuts down XP but they don't get the window that states that you can "Safely shut off your computer". They assume that the box has locked up which isnt the case however I'd like to track this down. Does anyone have any idea as to what I removed that would cause this type of behavior?
  2. Is there an easy way to disable the screen saver for all users during unattended installs? Went to HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop & set ScreenSaveActive = 0 but when I reboot the system is still shows the screen saver active. I used Regshot to see what is changed when I go in & disable screen saver via the normal method & it is showing that changes were made in the HKEY_Users\S-1-5-21-blahblahblah key & it appears that this key is unique to every user. Thanks
  3. totoymola- Thank you so munch ---- wonder why I didn't find this while searching the forums. Thanks again!
  4. I have tried everything I can to get Ghost 9.0 to install silently via command line. Ran Setup.exe -R (no iss file created). Also tried the setup /qb with no luck. It still prompts end users for inputs. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this to work? Thanks
  5. Hey everyone- I have set Autoupdate = No in the winnt.sif however when I load XP, Auto Update is still turned on... Relevant info from winnt.sif [Components] AutoUpdate = No Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Thanks everyone for your answers - am testing my image now & will post back if I have any other questions!
  7. Hello everyone - Have been working on building an image using Nlite and have everything the way I want it but have a couple of items that I'd like to incorporate. 1. Is there a way to format all drives when installing XP. I am aware of the REPARTITION option but this only seems to format the 1st available drive. 2. How can I add a user account? Do I need to go the $OEM$ route? If so, can I use the "distro" that I've created using Nlite? 3. How do I add a desktop icon? Thanks
