    Thank you. I changed the key attribute to the one you suggested. I rebooted the PC but the history is still being logged. Bill.

    Each time a file is opened from within Explorer by double-clicking, an entry is placed in the history cache: History\Today\My Computer. What is the registry key to prevent this please?. Thank you. Bill
