  1. Maybe this is just a US-thing? Ive never heared about this here in europe?!
  2. they do really offer win-cds 4 free?? i can not believe that..... if you download an .exe, how to install it? exe needs os to run
  3. maybe just slipstreaming went wrong? how du you integrate drivers? using nlite?
  4. just look at the size... sp only is about 260MB, full cd is (uncompressed) >600MB microsoft is offering update cds for free, maybe your school ordered some hundreds of them..... I can not believe a school would buy windows for their pupils...
  5. in generell i´d say yes, but you always should use clean sp-installation by a slipstreamed CD
  6. This seems to be an nlite-related problem. So I think this belongs to nuhis forum. Otherwise it would be an unattended install related problem, so thgis would belong to unattended forum try unattended install with everything you use without nlite to find out if the problem is nlite related btw: the tweaks in nlite can cause problems - did you use them?
  7. yeah on a other forum someone already could help me, part of this was taking ownership as you also suggested. but for this I had to uncheck simple view of folders within folde options btw cacls is a commandline command to edit rights on folders and files - espacielly great to unlock all system volume information-folders by batch - and the only way to do this I knew up to ~30 mins ago
  8. I cant use cacls on some directories I need to get access to (at least read-access) - some of the file/dirs I can View, but not see, others I cant even look into. cacls says ACCESS_DENIED please help me...
