  1. I'm kind of confused as to why you would want to convert an image to PDF when an image file is smaller and in most cases, more portable.
  2. Is there any way for me to check the heat of the memory modules without a thermal probe? And do I need to remove the AS-5?
  3. A new score? That's higher than what I remembered .
  4. Haven't noticed it before, but from a profile view, I just noticed that the 7800GT's heatsink does not make contact with the memory modules (~0.5cm off). I don't have enough money to purchase an aftermarket cooler, so any suggestions?
  5. @Dwinks If there's anything I did right, it was to not overapply it . Paper-thin describes my pasting well .
  6. But that's contradictary to what Arctic Silver says: And is it OK if there's lint on the chip so long as it's not on the die?
  7. That's for the processor. Normally the core is where you place the paste, but with the IHS in place, I can't see where I should paste it on. And another question, what should I use to wipe away remains of the Arctic Silver thermal material remover? I've tried paper towels and cotton, but both get snagged by the resistors or whatever you call them.
  8. Lol that was my excuse!!!
  9. I have a 7800GT with the default heatsink installed. Because the heatsink for the memory is unsmooth, I don't know how much paste I need? Would 1mm suffice? Also, for the processor, the IHS blocks the core from view, so I don't know where to apply the compound. I don't want to apply it to the entire IHS, as that's a waste of time and AS-5.

    Which Kernel?

No, I'm trying to figure out which one to delete.

    Which Kernel?

    Do I use ntkrnlmp.exe or ntoskrnl.exe in a dual-core system?
  12. Not insulting it, just creative criticism . But my question?
  13. I've made up my mind to get another fan . Should I get the same one? Or does it only need a similar CFM?
  14. @Francesco Good point, but there are other benefits such as faster bootup's and lower memory usage. Also, this system is secure enough to not need a firewall (which increases your ping). Forgot to mention that with 2GB, the use of large pages will surely help .
  15. So, unless I'm mistaken, for every application/game you want to play on MWX, you have to have the right dependencies? (Deleted)
  16. @Ripken204 Have all the parts except for the exhaust fan . @3-R4Z0R Think you asked the question before, but most likely yes.
  17. Would having no exhaust fan work? That's how my 3-year old computer is like and it's running just fine.
  18. Check your PM's .
  19. Is it bad if the case is pressurized?
  20. So do you guys suggest that I get another fan for exhaust? Unless it is necessary, I'd rather not, as that's another 3-5 days of wait and $15 lost. I'd also like to mention that there is an opening in the case for air to flow out, but I'd have to rely on the natural flow of the air since there's no fan forcing the air out.
  21. Is it the same if the air is coming in from the back and blowing out from the front? Also what if the fan blowing out pushes less air out (~20CFM) than the fan blowing in (~80-100CFM)?
  22. No, the problem is that I got a screw of the wrong size stuck on my fan and I'm trying to find a screw driver that won't break when I try to free the screw...
  23. How do I know if my fan is blowing out the exhaust air or blowing in fresh, cold air? And which way is better for a case fan?
  24. Is this a smart idea? I'm doing this only temporarily, like around 2-5 minutes max doing BIOS setup.
  25. I don't see it anymore...
