i deleted all references to nero scout and have no issues.....

after extracting all files from nero 7.0.1.2 u have to run the setupx.exe. and when the installer says bla bla this will install nero 7 demo we can stop it. in this way we create the missing cabs. after this run this command: msiexec /a "location of unpacked nero\nero.msi" that's all.........

i have a ultra edition cd but i tried it to the new 7.0.1.2 downloaded from nero site............

u have to slipstream it. u cant install it silent cause it will ask for the pro11.msi from office cd..... for slipstream instruction use google............

what about disable it in msi ..... it can be done.... using the program for creating .mst which also contains the installshield that can edit the .msi directlly. so for nero scout install FLEXnet AdminStudio 7 then right click the nero.msi(the one form the unpacked Nero7.0.1.2) and choose edit with installshield. go to organization>setup design. now all reference to NeroMediaLibary97E5875A should be deleted. also all references from NeroFileDialogABB91DC8 that contains next files: NeroFileDialog.dll, NMSearch.dll and MediaLibraryNSE.dll should be deleted. in this step u can also delete components that are not wanted. in the end hit save button. and then we can create the admin install. one thing left i cannot add my serial in the .msi.....

1.cause the hotfixes are slipstreamed and using nlite all hotfixes are direct integrated so they dont appear on add/remove. 2. here's a toy i like: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wul.html also u can run qfecheck.exe to see what updates are installed.....for more information about qfecheck use search...

i have version 10.0.1.1000. first i made an administrative install by running setup.exe /a. then i choose the destination folder called SAV10. after i run setup.exe /a in SAV10 folder i had 5 folders: common, program files, redist, system32, windows and 2 files: .msi and vdefhub.zip. rename the .msi file to sav10.msi. to update the last definition go here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...ges/US-N95.html and for the last live update go here: http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html. then extract the definition and rename the .zip file to vdefhub.zip and overwrite the old vdefhub.zip and add lusetup.exe i downloaded to SAV10\program files\Symantec AntiVirus folder and overwrite the old lusetup.exe. next download the update patch from here: http://anonym.to/?ftp://ftp.symantec.com/p...7_allwin_en.zip and extract it to folder called savce. rename the sav.msp. then go start>run and add this command: msiexec /p E:\savce\SAV.msp /a E:\SAV10\sav10.msi shortfilenames=true /qb wait the installer to finish and after this create a sillent installer using 7zip or winrar. that is it....
