  1. I was searching the forums forever and I decided to just make a new topic...I guess I didn't look hard enough, I forgot about the guide!! Next time I'll check the guide... thanks Dynaletik!!
  2. Is there a way to tell setup to use the classic look (windows 2000 style) without using nLite??
  3. I have a xp sp2 unattened cd with ryan's hotfixes, driverpacks, WMP10 slipstreamed, along with using nLite to ONLY remove componets. My problem is when I right click, I get the "Copy To" and "Move To" options. I don't want these, and I am unable to trace how they get loaded. I load a reg file with my tweaks from my install.cmd, and I made sure that the Copy/Move to entry was NOT in it. This is the reg key that comes outta nowhere: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\CopyMoveTo with the vaule set as: {51131DA7-1D24-40e5-AE07-5E3750F5DE3C} The only thing I can think that might be causing this is nLite........but again I only used nLite to remove stuff. Any ideas on how that gets there? edit: I found these entries too: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\CopyMoveTo HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\CopyMoveTo HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\CopyMoveTo HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\CopyMoveTo
  4. thanks !! sorry i didn't see that
  5. I have a HP compaq nc6000 laptop and I am getting the portcls.sys error. I went to the HP website to download the drivers, got them, but where do I put them in the driver packs? here is the link to the drivers : http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/hp...load/20504.html I am using method 2, and the latest driver packs (DriverPack_Sound_A_V5031 & DriverPack_Sound_B_V503) any ideas?
  6. I am getting the portcls.sys error with a HP nc6000 with ADI Soundmax audio. I found the drivers on the HP website and I have the latest driver packs (DriverPack_Sound_A_V5031 & DriverPack_Sound_B_V503). Where should I put the drivers that I got from the HP website? and do I have to add anyhting to the txtsetup.sif or other files? I am using method 2. here is the link to the drivers that I downloaded: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/hp...load/20504.html edit: sorry about the double post !!
  7. ok i will try using nlite and remove/tweak on a clean xpSP2 source.... I tested it on the xpSP2 source without Ryan's packs, and like you said I get no errors..... should i try manually adding the packs to a clean source, and then use nlite? (before i was using nlite to integrate) or does it make a difference?
  8. what shouldn't be happening...the dll errors or the ie and oe icons or both??
  9. I am using nlite 0.99.8 beta 3 and have been getting the same problem with the framedyn.dll after using nlite to integrate Ryan's 1.2, remove some things, and add some tweaks. I found that I do not get the error if you add framedyn.dll and srclient.dll to the [Keep Box] section. @MCT: my wbem folder still appears in the %system%/system32 folder.....so it's not getting deleted. But I am also getting another problem of the IE icon not on the desktop or in the start menu....along with the outlook express icon. Are these related to the wbem folder? settings.ini
  10. do you mean maunally integrating or integrating with nlite?
  11. I shrunk my office down to about 68MB, and I have the 7z self extracting file office2003.exe. My question is how do I install it? I am assuming that I would put it in the $OEM$/$1/Install folder or something like that, but I am confused on where I call the file from and when? Also I have been scaning/reading all the posts in the unattended forum, and I don't know what method to use to generally install any program. I've seen Xplode, WPI, RunOnceEX, WIHU, etc. and yes I did read the guide at the unattened homepage. Since I am a newbie what method would be easiest to understand? Also, I don't understand when the best time would be to install programs, like T-39, T-12.....I guess my point is that someone whould make like a timeline picture for newbies to explain what really happens in the setup process and the best time to install, reg tweaks, etc. And maybe give an example of a more experienced users timeline....
  12. i get an error when trying to download the driver pack BASE Warning: filesize(): Stat failed for /cgi-bin/load.cgi?Downloads/BTS_DriverPacks_BASE_V50210.exe (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php on line 25 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php:25) in /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php on line 26 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php:25) in /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php on line 27 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php:25) in /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php on line 28 Warning: readfile(/cgi-bin/load.cgi?Downloads/BTS_DriverPacks_BASE_V50210.exe): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bashrat/public_html/Projects/DriverPacks/file.php on line 29
