  1. prog[pn]=['Tyhjä 1']
    picw[pn]=['128']
    pich[pn]=['128']
    textl[pn]=['Bottom']
    texti[pn]=['1']
    ordr[pn]=[32]
    cat[pn]=['Internetti']
    pn++

    The reason that wpi is not allowing you to add anymore programs and stops at 32 may be the fact that this is incomplete ordr[pn]=[32] there is no reference to any cmd line.

  2. if that was the case then this may be a problem too

    prog[pn]=['Windows Media Player 10']

    uid[pn]=['WINDOWSMEDIAPLAYER10']

    picw[pn]=['128']

    pich[pn]=['128']

    desc[pn]=['Windows Media Player 10']

    textl[pn]=['Bottom']

    texti[pn]=['1']

    ordr[pn]=[10]

    cmd1[pn]=['regedit /S %CDROM%\\Install\\media10\\MEDIA.REG']

    cmd2[pn]=['%CDROM%\\Install\\media10\\MP10Setup.exe /q']

    cat[pn]=['Apuohjelmat']

    pn++

    also this one i just cant figure out:

    prog[pn]=['Tyhjä 1']

    picw[pn]=['128']

    pich[pn]=['128']

    textl[pn]=['Bottom']

    texti[pn]=['1']

    ordr[pn]=[32]

    cat[pn]=['Internetti']

    pn++

  3. omeon guys 26 views thus far and no one has acknowledge the work that Lost Soul has done . At least give the guy a comment or two,

    Looks alright so far, just noticed a couple of things myself

    The Page Tab for Purpose is hard to read due to the colors are closely matched.

    On the Reference tab the topic Headings could be a lil lighter, found them hard to read.

  4. Sorry Lost Soul, just a question I gotta ask

    I have only used the current version of WPI.

    is there a large difference in the WPI,htm (or any) from previous version?

    Because I cant seen to find this in my source.

    Look for this ( top of page ) inside your wpi.htm file in the theme your using

    <script> if (bgpicture && bgpicture[0]!='') { document.all.bgpiclayer.style.display = 'block'; document.all.bgpic.src = bgpicture[0]; } </script>

    <table class="box" border="0" width="100%" height="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" onclick="stopInterval()"> <tr><td colspan="2" bgcolor="#18339f" height="5%"> WRITE HERE

  5. Presently when your config is generated and produces so many columns.

    I at the moment , do not create catagories, it there a way to modify the columns so that it generates your apps equally among columns.

    for instance right now when my theme loads it fills the first column then the second and finall the third. However there are only a couple of apps in the third column

    So for example say I have 77apps, so can it show 26 in the first 26 in the second and 25 in the third.

  6. Just wanted to point out that as in blinktd's themes he has made a few adjustments himself;

    Sor instance with the links that open independent pages in the top left and top right of his them page may be used for similiar things as well, for instance a wpi manual. Also he has a few cosmetics as in changing the "Installer will start to Countdown. also he has added an image to stop the timer maybe he can give you the ins on how he did that.

    also I have noticed in a few downloadable themes, that there is an adduser.vbs script. Is this nessesary to have a add administration. From the past seems I loaded it or it added a new admin. on my system where it would ask for a password for which i did not know.

    So from now on I delete it from any theme I tend to d/l.

  7. Good work Mate so far so good. Seems to have everything I can think of to as as well. At least all the parts that have a solution thus far on the forum.

    :thumbsup:

    EDIT:

    Lost Soul, I'm trying to get rid of the smallbart.gif and when I do it seems to leave the lil redx at the top left of the screen.

    I accounted for all the images on the left (buttons) just cant seen to figure out what this lack of image is coming from.

    here is the line that i am getting rid of in the wpi.htm in the themes folder.

    <tr><td colspan="2" background="./themes/Default/smallbart.gif" height="3px"></td></tr>

    am I doing it right or am I missing something.

    Also would like to know where would I go to change the timer so that it is left aligned. (aligned with the buttons over it)

    ^ the phrase Installer will start in

    time

    Click here to stop timer

    i want these left aligned under the buttons (dont matter if they are located in the same area in the column just aligned to the left.

  8. Well sitting back and thinking about this for a bit now

    As you can see it is taking awhile to move the lil next/last buttons.

    Although I no nothing about java/js/coding in general. Only what I have learned here which is very lil compared to what there is to learn.

    Anyways I have a feeling that adding a pic placement into the options wizards itself is not going to be any small task if it can be done other than the way it is being done now. Thats just for the pic. Now if you want the option in the wizard to not only add a picture but a description too. Thats gonna be hard even moreso. Another reason i said that is there are so many didferent looks on how this can be done. I and others do it one way, blinkdt has i think done it a number of ways..

    So i feel sorry somewhat for kelsenellenelvian, for we all tend to place so much pressure on him I'm sure. hehe. Which i'm sure give's him so many opportunities to improve such a fabulaous program. But lets try to keep in mind he is not invincible.

    I would like to see this option in the future but will not pressure anyone to try and make it possible before my retirement. All I know is nothing is done over night.

    yes I tend to blabber alot.

    P.S is best to give lil tidbits of ideas to kelsenellenelvian otherwise if he and we with our suggestions get this app done with all the modifications in one weekend, what will kelsenellenelvian have left to do.

  9. Well I'm just using at the moment WPI to install games and programs. It is not integrated into an Unattended XP cd

    so basically all I have in my root are the files that are stored in the main wpi download. modified useroptions.js and config.js and folder representing all my reg files/graphic thumbs for the descript box and install folder when I stored all my exe files, but other then that nothing else has been changed.

    So i guess if autorun is enabled as with my xp box then it calls the autorun.inf which calls the wpi.cmd and loads the wpi.hta.

    I run everything off the dvd which i dont believe is setup to copy everything onto HD first then install.

    So what would be my step to create a file that will load wpi on a win98 machine that is not autorun enabled. and would I place that file whether it be a cmd gile into the root of the cd and would I have to change the autorun.inf to load this file instead of the wpi.cmd.

    Thanks for everything.

    I know its a lot but the whole process is to learn and to teach. Hope one day I can be here to teach.

  10. Also. In the options box section it would be great if you could put a box to link to a pic. and add text correctly like we have been doing in a post. This would make it easyer for me and newbes.

    I understand what you mean i think anyway.

    You are trying to see if kelsenellenelvian could add an option maybe in the configwizard giving you the option to add a picture, where you add the description phrase itself. I'm a newbie and think i'm quite used to modifying the descript box itself through the config.js however that is an idea too. If i am getting you right. Whether that would be an easy task to add an option for a pic directly from the configwizard screen i dint know.

    I'll stick to modifying the config.js.

    EDITED For first post spelling.

  11. all good ideas.

    kelsenellenelvian good idea on adding extrafolder and tools USSF, and so on....

    Lost Soul another good idea to have a standard guide on the cosmetics area of WPI.

    Now that I know where to change them with everyones help. Will help people alot easier if there was one reference guide or html file that can be added even into the distribution showing all the cosmetics and how to reactivate certain items.

    I like these ideas

  12. by adding it to your wpi.cmd you mean on a separate line or are you modifying the line with

    REM Start WPI and wait for its end

    start /wait "" C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshta.exe "%CD%\wpi.hta"

    ???

    What no one to tell me if this is what you do. hehe

    Ya I know wait your turn.

  13. he is not trying to say edit the wpi.cmd to replace:

    REM Start WPI and wait for its end

    start /wait WPI.hta

    with

    REM Start WPI and wait for its end

    start "" C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshta.exe "wpi.hta"

    I could be way off or even set the wrong path.

    but unsure if its the wpi.cmd file to edit

    Remember I know nothing I'm just starting to soak in small amounts of info you are all trying to share.

  14. Personally m8 i liked the old one.

    This one looks just a lil cluttery. prefered the old one the way it looked without the viewable separation lines. If you get what i mean

    Sure you did some time to do this but have to say the old is better.

    Actually i did but went right into posting my reply unreallizing (due to having done so in ages) that you have to click vote , it is not automatically done when you check your choice and add a reply and submit.

    So it only submitted the reply.

    It sounds like im, running on and on.

  15. I tried what you sugessted:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ReflexiveArcade\269]
    "DownloadID"=hex:d4,cf,89,01,00,00,00,00
    "ChannelID"=dword:0000111d
    "ChannelName"="Reflexive.net"
    "Progress"=dword:ce878f5a
    "RegistrationCode"="xxxxx-xxxx-0000-0000-0000-xxxx-xx"

    to this:

    REGEDIT4

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ReflexiveArcade\269]
    "DownloadID"=hex:d4,cf,89,01,00,00,00,00
    "ChannelID"=dword:0000111d
    "ChannelName"="Reflexive.net"
    "Progress"=dword:ce878f5a
    "RegistrationCode"="xxxxx-xxxx-0000-0000-0000-xxxx-xx"

    there has to be something other then that where each OS is reading them or inputting different info. For when I tried to import the adjusted reg file it still give me the error that it cannot import this file.

  16. So your saying for moving folders into specific groups I would create a cmd file as such?

    ECHO Moving Game Folder...
    move "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Add%Em%Up\" "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Games\Puzzle%Games\Add%Em%Up" /Y /I /Q

    ECHO.
    ECHO Deleting Game Folder...
    RD /S /Q "%usersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Add%Em%Up"

    ECHO.
    EXIT.

    and then direct wpi to load after game is installed using:

    cmd2[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Install\\cmdfiles\\addemup.cmd']

    if this is wrong sorry , just finding myself lost. Would be easier if you could just install games to specific locations as you could if you were to install without it being silent.

    e.g:

    Install to c:\programs\games\puzzle_games\Addemup

    Edit: Now that I think of it is there a different way in which to do same for win98se.

    As I had to change all my reg files to read as regedit4 since they were done in xp and would not work under windows 98...

  17. AHJAHJ there is no reason for you to react the way you did, sure your frustrated, but replying with anything but normal font is ridiculous. It will not solve your problem any faster. And because they point out that it is not necessary, you lash out at them. mate you need to grow up a bit for what you are doing is childish and likely not to bring any help your way. This site has been up for awhile and has helped a great many of people to have to come in here an disrespect it like you have.

    Go ahead an lash out at me if you wish, if it will make you feel any better. and see how much help you get down the road.

    Edited for Redneck grammer:

  18. Here is for example one game that i want.

    Running under XP file is located in

    "C:\Program Files\Add Em Up\addemup.exe" and would like to move it to a folder called

    "C:\Program Files\Puzzle Games\Add Em Up\addemup.exe"

    So if i need to doo these individually as suggested because you sometimes do not install all said games/programs.

    so for each game i would make a move.cmd and place it in the programs folder or a folder where wpi will call it up.

    I will probably name the move.cmd to a name of the respective game. e.g addemup.cmd so that i can place them all in the same folder as i did with all my game exe's

    can you give me an example of how the move.cmd would look like if i wanted to do "C:\Program Files\Puzzle Games\Add Em Up\addemup.exe"

    cmd2[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Install\\Command\\addemup.cmd']

    Sorry for the bad english "I'm Canadian"

    if you were to make a move command for the said game above and move it to Programs/games/card games how would you write ir so that I can make a template outta it for all the other 274 games listed on this dvd.

    btw my wpi is separate from my unattended xp. so i do not have it setup as $OEM$\$Docs\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

    Thanks for any help , as you have already done in past.
