depends by extension. see Windows Explorer it has more type of extensions, but IDM uises BrowserShellObjects. some are used by Explorer, File Explorer Window, Navigation Pane, Services to run in backgorund, Taskbar Toolbars etc. idk exactly if IDM is using this for Taskbar, but its inteffering. so these are located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects. the GUID for IDM is {0055C089-8582-441B-A0BF-17B458C2A3A8}. it has a value to run with/out Explorer with NoExplorer which is set to 1. These happen only when i try to download something using Chrome or Firefox, but its something wrong because the extension is used by IE. Restarting IDM it solve the issue. but its a bug on my system or SaB. in 3.7.9 worked correctly. Another thing which i notice is also IDM , when i restart explorer, this will not color progress anymore, where at another apps its ok.

does Taskbar2 does have Extension Support? I see some support in taskbar toolbars (imported from classic taskbar code) , but for IE / ActiveX Support is missing? (IDM is not working after installed SaB with Taskbar 2), It automatcly disables chrome extension and refuses to start downloading. in 3.7.9 its working with no problems. doing more research 😉

ok. in 3.7.9 the uwp icon looks like . Enpass app its look same than 3.7.9 maybe a bug with Enpass. in rest MPC-HC and Media Player processes different in 3.7.9 not in photo uploaded.

i think Enpass Password Manager its taken as a Media App and the taskbar its not show correctly. but for MPC-HC and Media Player Instances is too thick i love the taskbar icon management i like it.. but for some uwp apps the icons are cutted like netflix icon. in rest is responsive, but it slow when i restart explorer .

hi @Tihiy can i add an sugestion to StartMenu? for example to change search provider from Windows Search to Everything? You can inspire from Everything Toolbar which is working fine with classic taskbar?

not completly. it has problems with toolbars.

it is. pressing the button from start menu, request that. i deleted the file SlideShutDown.exe because i think i want to bypass that, but is not. i think is a Microsoft Implementation of Shutdown in SaB StartMenu 😅

hi @Tihiy. i installed recently windows 11 in a tablet and when i try to shutdown it shows slidetoshutdown. how to skip the slide part and shutdown directly?

nope. removing installation entry in registry and it worked for me. tested startallback in 26200 and its ok. taskbar not affected for now.

StartAllBack is improving the ribbon on old classic apps (SaB 3.7.8). i love that..

another suggestion: can you add ability to move that in second screen? its a feedback😀

Hi @Tihiy! I had a bug in StartAllBack 3.7.8 and build 26100. I use Shell Extensions for Taskbar (called Toolbars) and i love it! I have 4 shell extensions (EverythingToolbar, LockKeys, TaskbarStats (CPU,RAM and NET)) Last two extensions are just DLLs. (registering with command it show options like that. What is the problem? DLL registered handlers are working fine and enabled. Restarting file explorer it automatic disables. Why is disabling? I send to you extensions in .zip file. extract and register following DLLs: LockKeys - LockKeys.dll TaskbarStats: CpuRam.dll and NetSpeed.dll. after register it must appear in toolbars menu like in first photo. enable one or all and restart file explorer. Keyboard Handlers.zip

good. fixed wrong second screen workspace 🫠 one problem but i don t know if it comes from windows or from startallback but when connect and disconnect devices the navigation pane does not refresh /update. (this happen in Canary)

@Tihiy i found a way to repair the wrong workspace in second screen when using classic taskbar in SaB in Windows 11 Canary 26063+, if you are interested. Change the main display from settings and reboot. When rebooting the space will be wrong. To get correctly, set the second screen as main display and after that set the first screen as main display back. This is will work until next reboot.

i use IcarosThumbnail provider for show thumbnails for image and videos, but somehow it brakes StartAllBack somehow. UWP Apps are shown like this (using default image icon)

@Tihiy i want to clarify something,, the bug of second screen taskbar space are not taked correctly, enabling startallback 3.7.5 on build insider 26063 or newer, the space it takes wrong, In builf 26080 the taskbar appears on the screen , but the space is taken as full screen by window manager, in normal windows 11 taskbar (disabled classic taskbar) this thing is not happening due the unchangeable taskbar space. Is a solution to fix it? or does this thing was caused by windows? if you found that bug with space, it is possible to fix the problem?

before a windows feature die, microsoft it disables first. after a period it removes the code of that feature. so we know one thing: the code of windows 10 taskbar will go for good in newer version of windows.

suggestion: can you make winver dark mode? clicking on about windows on Widnows Explorer on dark mode it will shows in dark mode , and running winver it shows in light mode. Can you make it to be dark like shutdown dialog? and another feature: i love explorer tabs from StartAllBack. i want to use more, but i use qttabbar because of file quick view on tooltip. it is possible to implement an option in StartAllBack to add image and document preview in tooltip like qttabbar? and third quesiton. i want to donate to startallback. (not to buy a license) do you have an PayPal Account or an Patreon?

initially yes, but after self-disablation of SaB, the zone was broken on native taskbar (Win11Taskbar). after that, upgraded to 26063. worked correctly, but after a few moves, working zone was not modified. in clean installation of 26058, its working good. i think they modifed something on explorer.exe on 26063, in rest all fine. with 26058's explorer exe putted on 26063 build that bug was fixed. waiting for a new insider build and i will report you more.
