  1. I don't understand
    modifyPE.exe notepad.exe -c

    makecab notepad.exe

Can I just do makecab notepad.exe and then overwrite the one in i386? Will someone please explain the modifyPE line and it's necessity? Thank you

Ok, I will explain u all simple, step by step.

    - First download ModifyPE.exe and extract it into X:/Windows/System32 directory.

    - Rename Notepad2.exe to notepad.exe

    - run Command Prompt and navigate to the directory, containing file notepad.exe

    - wirite in command prompt modifyPE.exe notepad.exe -c

    - when done, write in cmd makecab notepad.exe

    - copy the cab file into your i386 directory and overwrite

    - Dont forgot to disable File System Protection! ;)

DONE! Burn ISO & Enjoy! :D:hello:

  2. I think K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is the best. Why? Because include:

    - all needed codecs to play audio, video, realtime and quicktime files;

    - browser plugin for QuickTime and RealTime

    - Media Player Classic - player for all known media files - audio, video, real media, quick time... ALL!

    - Codec Tools

at the side of the screen that is used to quickly launch shortcuts.

With support for themes, PNG's and ICO's and with smooth amazing animations,

RK Launcher is a versatile and great taskbar replacement.

  4. Hi Guys!

Is it possible to throw Notepad2 right into the i386 directory without any kind of tweaking, or will the OS start complaining if I do so?

Also, I have downloaded the MPC from sourceforge as I think that one is much bettet than anything else I've seen so far. Can that one be thrown into the i386 directory too?

Sorry for my newbie questions! :)

Yes, U can put Notepad2 in your i386 dir.

To this, u must make a can. Rename Notepad2.exe to Notepad.exe and write in command prompt:

    modifyPE.exe notepad.exe -c

    makecab notepad.exe

When done, copy Notepad.ex_ in your i386 dir and overwrite the original file.

Your idea for replacing WMP with MPC is great, but I dont know how u can do it... :(

  5. You are talking abou the mplayer2.exe in the Windows Media Player folder?

Are you sure it can play QuickTime movies?

Edit: Sorry, you mena the open-source programme.

Tried it, but uses more CPU than the orignail version.

No, it`s diiferent player, but with the sam interface.

And yes, really can playe RealMedia and Quick Time. I am using it instead the heavy Windows Media Player.

    See sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ for more info

  6. I use Media Player Classic - simple open source player, who can play everything (DivX, DVD, Music formats, TV Tunner, RealMedia, QuickTime movies and much more). I like it, its the best media player, who I am used.

  7. Free dual pane file managers:

    WorkSoft Navigator

    Windows File Explorer

    Gyula`s Navigator

... but I still think Windows Explorer is the best file manager, because has perfect integration with any application and work fine. I dont like only WinExplorer in Win 9x, because there arent thumbnails preview, saving different view for different folders and etc. I dont like programs "All in 1" like a TotalCommander, Magelan Explorer and etc, because I prefer to use separate programs for archivers, for FTP, for file viewing...

Sorry 4 bad English, I cannot explain what I think better :(
