Ok Just Tryed It messenger was Turned Off I Went to Enable It HKLM,%Services%\Messenger,Start,0x10001,2 Still nothing Happend When I Rebooted. Its On Disable still. Any Idea? Ive Also tryed HKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Messenger","Start",0x00010001,2 Which I Looked Up in A Hiv.inf Off The Xp Cd. This Must Have to Be Ran while Windows Is Installing Cause None Of Them Work

Ya I Made An Inf File to Import Some services Tweaks Instead Of Useing The Registry. for Example. [Version] Signature=$CHICAGO$ [services] HKLM,"%Services%\Messenger",0x00010001,4 When I right click It And Install It does But after I Reboot Something Has changed Messenger would be On Automatic Still.. Can They's Only Be used In A Preinstall Of XP ?

i might of figured it out .. my burners the master the cdrom is slave but i noticed that the cd rom is running off the hardrive. cd roms run at 33 where a hardrive runs at 100 to 133. could this be the problem ??

im haveing some problem with my cd rom.. if anyone can figure this one out. then i open my cd rom tray weather there is a cd in or not soon as i close it i get a cd looking icon next to my mouse and it blinks. it will not stop intill i shutdown or reboot. i checked out the event veiwer and it shows this under warning "An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom3 during a paging operation." im not sure when it happend i wasint aware i just happened to look and it was there .. my burner doesint do this just the cd rom and the burner is master the cd rom is slave. any idea's on how to fix this ??? or if its not hooked up correctly? it came hooked up that way custom built AMD so i wouldint have a clue if it wasint hooked up correctly.

im trying to get .msstyles to work on a preinstall ive done all the $OEM$ $$ stuff and can get a theme file to install perfect but not a .msstyles when windows loads the first time it just puts me to windows classic mode the ugly looking one. i think i miss typed something wrong in the winnt.sif under [sHELL] Here have a look.. [shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile ="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\black\black.msstyles" im thinking i went wrong on the %WinDir% part but im not sure. can someone let me know what im doing wrong thanks

ya im looking for the black box theme i can add to my windows ive searched everywhere and cannot find it.. its the one that was in i beleave the windows called Insane xp .some guys made. Nlite had one in there called black backround .but im not sure if thats the same one or different then the one im looking for that makes the taskbar black. If anyone can point me the right direction please

Ya i think im going to slipstream them into my next xp. do you or anyone know if there are any problems doing so? ive been waiting it out avoiding any resent bugs it might have had . also i did find out what was freezing me up with the black screen. after reboot when i installed that fix. it had to do with the ASP.net account running . i disabled that account then installed that hotfix and i booted up just fine.. this network adapter card seems to only like one account running if there are more then one then i get screws with the nic card but only when i install that one hotfix.

ya im haveing problems with the framework sp1 hotfix its the 1.20 megs one... the last one you do .. anyways when i install this and reboot and windows is loaded i get a computer icon at the bottom of my screen saying its trying to establish a internet connection . when i allready have one and can browse... im running a ASUS/TEC/broadcom 440x integrated controller. it seems to have to do with running more accounts or something i formatted and just used the ADIM account and when i install this patch my computer reboots but it doesint get to the microsoft windows loading page.. it just stays black i have to manually reboot. when i do it says your computer didint shutdown correctly do to hardware or software changes. then it asks me to boot in normal mode. and everything is fine after that ... but why is this patch and only this one doing this ?? if someone could help me out on this be much appreciated.

ive been haveing probs with my IE for no reason aswell msn.com homepage go to click on the explorer and it brings up a different microsoft page saying the page im trying to find isint there then sometimes i get a weird script error on server. then other times its fine .can browse no problems.. formatted just incase it was my wndows. but it still does it time from time. this is the url it directs me to when it screws up http://www.microsoft.com/library/errorpage...er=6&ar=msnhome anyone know what this is about?
