i have 1gb ddr400 ram but i dont know what make it is (cas 2.5 (-=Bios the black arts=-)), i run battlefield 2(which runs gr8 albeit on low settings) half life 2( on board gfx cant handle it), gta sa call of duty 2 however does run pretty good also also fl studio 6 demo seems to be good seeing just how stable my system is after overclock change or speed update. oops sorry about that....should of made this all 1 post

i was actually making a joke i dont think asrock boards are crap but it there are net a lot of ppl on the net who seem to think they are cheap and cheerful *crap*, i personally am on my 2nd asrock board and i love em because from my experience the are very reliable and also very cheap to buy. Just wanted to make that clear edit :also just in case its important, mine is a socket 754

i think i've got it set at 1.30v or something like that it seems to settle down though i've just checked it and its now at 1.440v cpu temp 35 c case temp is 35 degrees centigrade. @Gdogg: imu using cpuz v1.33.1, i've just checked cpuz website and its the latest version.cpuz validation

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen core voltages of nearly 3 volts since the Pentium 233... according to http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_ty...pec_Rev_ENG.pdf the standard core voltage is only 1.40v ! your absolutely right, but when i checked it yesterday evening thats what it said. Edit: it seems to be that voltage on reboot is this good or bad?.

Just run loads and loads of software in the backgrgound that'll decrease performance quite quickly

another alternative is to use desktop sidebar -=click me=- also if u want to make xp look more like vista go here:- -=click me too=- and u might end up with something similar to this which was really easy to do. good luck on your final choice. edit: just reread your post u dont want viista look but desktop sidebar is fully comfigurable as u would expect with skins to d-load, maybe someone has already done an opera style skin.

oops sorry i forgot to mention that i have a 650w psu but have tried to oc to 2500,although windows xp will run no games or apps like fruityloops will run they just lock up.

First off: amd sempron 3400+ palermo core asrock k8nf4g motherboard s754 1GB ddr400 ram stick (yes i know everyone says asrock are crap) but thats got i've got and cant get any other mobo, so please don't waste your typing skills and your energy by typing "just get a dfi mobo or the whatever lol)... Right, hi all, i have tried overclocking with this setup the most stable i can get it is about 2400MHz, does anybody else have this setup or similar running at a higher speed, also i've heard that no 2 cpu's o'c the same which makes sense but i'd be interested to here if you have a 3400 sempron running faster. core speed: 2400.0MHz multiplier: x10 HTT: 240.0MHz Voltage: fluctuating between 2.880 v - 2.994 v cpu temp: 33 degrees centigrade Even if i find that all im gunna get from this, an extra 400MHz is still good.

erm i not sure, if u mean of the motherboard its about 34 degrees centigrade but as for the gfx card i have no idea

yes i do but they would n't affect the way the screen looks in bios settings and at post boot would they? i have just requested to send it back for a refund. thanks for trying to help.

Hi, can anyone help I have just installed an ati 256MB pci-e video card into a new system. The problem im having with it is that i get broken red lines on the post boot screen, on the bios settings screen and also all graphics are corrputed in any games i play but *not* in any game movies for instance the intro movie of call of duty 2 plays fine as does the movies in battlefield 2 (has the latest v1.22 patch) the other thing is windows display is fine..any ideas as to what i might have done wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. systems specs:- ATI Radeon 256 MB PCI E Video Graphics X600 Dell Western Digital 160GB SATA Harddrive AMD 64 Bit 3400 CPU (not overclocked) Mainboard nvidia graphics 1GB DDR dvd re-writer soundblaster live 5.1 soundcard used only for the midi/game port Audigy 2 soundcard Q-tec 650w power supply also tried the latest ati drivers aND A previous version for games but still no luck.

I also have an Audigy 2 soundcard, i install the drivers by making the exe file SBAX_WEBUP_LB_2_08_0004.exe (or which ever drivers you use) into a program addon so that it installs within the last 13 minutes of installation. have a look here for more info. -=Program Addons=- Hope thats of some help to you.

Hi folks!, does anyone know of a wallpaper changer that can change the wallpaper at certain times of the day. Say for instance i could set it up so that at 7.00AM it would change the wallpaper to a sunrise etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
