  1. jaclaz, Thanks for trying. I read throught he thread but it leads to an explanation of how to use the old PatchAPI which I have already accomplished. The second link you submitted is great but it uses DotNet and not a native executable file. What I am after is a nice exe that can access the functions of the msdelta.dll file to create compressed patch files (like MPatch.exe did with PatchAPI). Any other ideas guys?
  2. Good evening everyone, I'm interested in creating compressed, patched files with the latest technology available thorugh Microsoft. I know that the old way was to use PatchAPI. That was quite easy to use (and still is) because it comes with a simple executable MPach.exe and a corresponding patch applying tool APatch.exe. The new way is to use msdelta which I've read and seen achieving better compression ratios when patching. It also is much more convenient for the end-user that can extract (apply patch) using the expand.exe utility included in all Windows versions beyond Windows Vista. I am having difficulty finding a tool like MPatch.exe that utilizes the msdelta technology/dll file to create these compressed patches. Is there any tool available to do this task? As mentioned earlier, the applying of the patch is not of my concern since expand.exe can handle that process with the aid of dpx.dll. Any assistance with this would be very greatly appreciated. I hope to get this figured out and solved after spending quite some time researching this. Thanks.
