I am having the same problem with dc7800. i give username and password it can not contact dc. I exit and retype wpeinit it gets ip and authentication succeeds. strange!

sorry my friend. I think you have bad luck! i downloaded the French version you mentioned and made the MSI with settings from my computer. The installation started without a problem. I am using windows xp english. i did not get any help screen as you mentioned. Sorry man. try in another system

OK. Try a fresh install of WMP11. not using command line parameters or unattended. double click the exe, validate, install, select preferences, etc... URGE is a music service by MTV built into WMP11. It's the same as Apple's iTunes or Real network's Rhapsody. You can choose to configure URGE if you have an account with them or you prefer to. otherwise skip it. I did not face any problems with this method as I have already installed it using unattended XP CD in more than 10 times. OR Try starting the MSI with msiexec process. Like..... msiexec /i WMP11.MSI Please let me know if you still facing the problem.

Don't know if someone had already posted this. sc.exe is available in Windows XP SP2. I found it easier than using registry. sc config wscsvc start= disabled net stop wscsvc stops windows security service (wscsvc) all the service names can be foud at: http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm#Services Hope this helps. i get an error 'unable to access shell manager' after i direct edit nero.msi and run setup

Even with MST, problem exists. i have verified. again, admin install does not create a setupx.exe

Admin install worked. but when i try to start the installation with nero.msi, it gives an error saying 'installation must be started with setup.exe. i am facing the same problem with roxio easy media creator 8. could someone help? thanks

Hello there I downloaded and extracted Nero 7.0.8.2. I try to make an administrative installation folder with 'msiexec /a nero.msi', it starts the installation and then keep on asking different CAB files wich are not present in the cab subfolder. But i can install the full components from the same extracted files and the installation completed successfully. Please help if anyone knows the solution Thanks
