  1. Wow thanks, that website answered all my questions except one.

Will it work with custom themes? And other desktop enhancements?

Btw to the dev of XPIZE XPero awesome job man. Seriously you deserve a spot on MS's visual team.

  2. Hi guys, just stumbled across this thread after visiting MSFN for months, and OMG you guys have some SICK looking desktops.

    A few q's though.

Where can I find this wallpaper? Ive scoured google and only found crappy gifs of it where the edges on cartman are jagged, and the only colors I can find with him are Green, and Yellow. I know changing the color is dead easy in photoshop but I need a good quality base first.

Firstly, yours is probably the nicest looking desktop i have ever seen, beautiful. Is it AveDesk 1.2 that allows you to have the month scrolling down the sides, the icons and everything?

    To anyone who can answer:

    1. Where can I find the shinobi themes for windows they look awesome.

    2. Can I use XPIZE and AveDesk or is it one or the other?

    3. Does AveDesk have a big CPU hit?

Thanks!! I cant wait to get started on my own desktop now lol.

  3. Ive seen a few respectable members of MSFN boards use this program now, and im getting curious. Could someone please give me a more detailed overview of what this does?

I know it makes windows look cooler, but im not exactly sure how?

Also will this cause problems with things such as custom themes (a hacked uxtheme), or custom icons, using AveDesk etc etc

  4. No I do it like this: (from website)

    In winnt.sif:

    [GuiRunOnce]
    %systemdrive%\install\InstallWPI.cmd
;Renames Admin acct, and disables guest
    %systemdrive%\install\admin.cmd
    ;cleansup the crap
    %systemdrive%\install\cleanup.cmd

    InstallWPI.cmd

    @ECHO OFF
    cmdow @ /HID
    ECHO.
    ECHO Calling WPI
    ECHO.
    start /wait %systemdrive%\install\WPI\WPI.HTA
    exit

    Should I be calling WPI.cmd?

I heard from asta you can call WPI from RunOnceEx instead and u chose ur apps at the beggining instead of after XP has installed. As I dont know anything about RunOnceEx I havnt attempted this yet.

On a side note should I be upgrading to a newer WPI?

  5. Thanks I tried that and when I went to open NeroMegaPluginPack.msi it says

The Specified file is not a Windows executable: Path\To\NeroMegaPluginPack.msi....

I opened up the msi again and it says windows installer, then when it opens it says Installer2Go.

I know Installer2Go is a s/w package for making .msi files, so why cant WinINSTALL LE 2003?

    Thanks!

  6. Ok so even after putting that reg file in the WPI reg file im still getting the error.

I get this randomly throughout the WPI installations. I know its the WPI as the msgBox says WPI at the title bar and then says IE script is running slow, do you want to abort? YES, NO

I cant ever leave it unatteneded as once this screen pops-up It no longer works.

  7. I tried installing this the way I have read in the last posts with:

    %cdrom%\Software\SpywareBlaster\spywareblastersetup33.exe /verysilent /NOCANCEL /SP- /NORESTART

funny thing is tho it seems as if they have built in a stop to silently installing, as setup throws me a window which says: spywareblaster doesnt support silent installations, please run the setup file directly.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Is this program even worth the hassle, just use spybot and ad-aware? It was recommened to me so I figured id throw it on.

    thanks

  8. Dont mean to bump this, just curious if the best place to put these is in the C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$$\System32 so that I can run them directly from the run and cmdline interface?

I was planning on using Shortcut.exe as well so I can put them all in a folder under StartMenu\Programs\Admin Tools

    thanks!

  9. I asked this in the unattened part of the forum, though no one is answering and it pertains more to WPI, and I would like this resolved asap as im almost done my cd.

I have IE script debugging in my Tweaks file, which is run from commandlines.txt (t-12) and WPI is t-13 I thought, so my tweak should be applied. But its not (at least as far as I can tell)

    ;-----  Disabled IE script debugger
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
    "Disable Script Debugger"="yes"

So either its not working or my WPI installs happen before the tweaks are applied. If the latter I need to know how to apply this before hand. A cheap trick I could do is make a reg file be the first thing my WPI does which does the IE debug, but there has to be an easier way.

    Anyone know?

    Thanks

  10. Not a problem. No the problem is that the sfx as far as I know is just a repacking of a bunch of files to be put somewhere.

The Plugin pack is an installer(.msi) allready that cant be extracted with WinRAR. Except in the readme, your supposed to change the install folder for V6 of Nero. Its default is set to v5.

So if I run it silently, some of the files arent being copied into the correct directory, so I need to be able to change this. Im basically looking for a way to edit the MSI to change the native path, or someway of changing it via cmd line?
