BM, i am getting a flashing action where the windows borders go from active to inactive and then back again to active (on my setup that means blue to black to blue). this transpires every few minutes and it is occurring on all open windows ; firefox, explorer, ie, word etc. For the moment that it happens there is also a suspension of keyboard activity as the active window loses focus and then returns... I am wondering if this could be caused by the aeroglass applet and, if so, what could be done to silence this activity. many thanks, eric

BM, sh/peeples, my transparencies are workingm fine but for the last week or so my minimize maximize, close explorer buttons are showing up as transparent and as ghosted. anybody else having this issue? tnx

thanks. i see the shift to opaque on battery now... It's not needed. Transparency/blur effect is automatically disabled when running on battery. This should be fixed. At least, I cannot reproduce it anymore when "Fast startup" is enabled in control panel.

off topic question: in order to preserve battery i wish to be able to switch off the aeroglass transparency. is there a convenient method that would allow this on the fly with a button or .bat file i could set up? when i manually go to personalize and select the default windows theme i see a 50% drop in battery usage so this switching optionw ould be quite helpful. apologies if already requested. "licensed" user...
