  1. Don't forget DirectX 12, they've been promoting that quite much too...
  2. I'm waiting to use Aero Glass until RTM is out. Too many builds recently, 10166 just came out,
  3. Not really related but it's been discussed, the taskbar is still transparent (no blur) in 10162.
  4. In todays 10162 build it's now possible to uninstall it by right clicking on the winstore item in the start menu.
  5. Mine is! mine not Do you have EnableBlurBehind DWORD under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize? I only have this problem on this new build, worked just fine in 10130 Is that supposed to make the taskbar blurry too? My start menu is blurry but not the taskbar. (not running aero glass atm) EDIT: I left feedback and reported is as a bug to msft. I saw someone else mentioning that build 10158 got the same problem.
  6. Hey, after upgrading from build 10130 I now have this in my start menu. Seems to be an old windows store app and I can't really figure out how to make windows understand that it's gone. I've removed the app from the Packages folder, I've cleaned the registry from any winstore related stuff, I've searched though the user, programdata and windows folders for any other winstore files. Nothing. So I can't really understand where windows stores this app/start menu item information. Ideas?
  7. Looks like they fixed the visual snapping bug i mentioned earlier. They now use the shadow border all around as the visual preview, looks much better.
  8. Oh... it's just the white border in joels theme atlas that makes it more apparent. Hmmm wonder if it's a bug on microsofts side or if it's intentional. I'll report it to msft. (DONE) Btw, you can disable snapping if you don't want to see it, just open the settings app and search for snap. I never use snapping myself.
  9. Yes. maybe I used the wrong definition, but i think of theme atlases as Aero Glass themes. I didn't mean "Windows theme". But thanks for clarifying everything. Btw, here's that bug I mentioned a few posts up, drag a window to the corner and this happens:
  10. I get these issues too, sometimes a border around taskbar "thumbnail" windows. And a white border around steam and photoshop, probably a theme thimg but i never had themes interfering in Win8.1. Running on build 10130 with Noels theme.
  11. Ok, thanks. I tried modernframe but I had to remove it... didn't work well with Spartan/Edge and some other apps. Btw possible bug, dragging a window to a screen edge or corner has some graphical issues.
  12. No problem here with Aero Glass running, CPU is about 3-6% no matter how i drag the windows. What seems to eat CPU is dragging spotify around but i think that's a spotify issue.
  13. Hmm... which reg settings are supported, I currenttly have these: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"OneCoreNoBootDWM"=dword:00000000"CustomThemeAtlas"="C:\\Windows\\AeroGlass\\RoundedCornersBlueActive.png""BypassThemeSignature"=dword:00000001"ColorizationGlassReflectionIntensity"=dword:00000070"EnableLogging"=dword:00000000"TextGlowMode"=dword:00000002 Is there a working more transparent-like theme for build 10130?Noels theme is nice but it interferes with my color selections a bit. And what is ModernFrame.dll used for and where do I get it? It's very confusing searching a 31 page long thread.
  14. Latest Mozilla Thunderbird is looking really weird for me, a screenshot of the top window: No glass effect on the right side. I guess it's a program issue? I tried disabling the plugins/addons, didn't help.
  15. Like someone would target Aeroglass for hacking attempts, sorry but I find that unlikely.
  16. Interesting observation, Win8 window management looks light and features are removed yet it seems to consume more memory, weird.
  17. He must mean that the buttons are on a transparent window background. But that must be a design issue rather than a flaw in AeroGlass. EDIT: I see Noel answered while i made the this post.
  18. I agree with Noel, I'm suprised he managed to get rid of some of the more weird/small bugs, some must've been really hard to find. BigMuscle, you have my respect Sir!
  19. !! Dirty "hack" incoming !! Running taskkill /f /im dwm.exe as administrator is a quick and dirty way to get rid of the blacktitle. Put it in a .bat file for easy access. Not entirely sure how to make run as administrator by default tho', I haven't looked into it (specifying user and password args to taskkill doesn't help).
  20. That is what I get too, I thought I fixed it by editing TextGlowMode but after a restart it was back, I fixed it again by restarting DWM and changing the registry, Not sure what's going on. Maybe it's a race condition? Does it read TextGlowMode from HKLM also or only HKCU?
  21. NoelC, seems the crashes occur less frequently now tho'? No crashes for me but I turn off the computer before going to bed (aero peek is disabled, don't like the feature).
