Has been running 10240 now for some time and it has been stabile, but lately when I start up the welcome and login has been sort of instabile. It flickers and start over and it seems the login stars don't "take". The hole procedure take up to tree time longer than it use too...

Aeroglass works with license so far on build 14267. We will see what happens when symbols become available.
Symbols downloaded the day after release, and unlike the previous Insider Preview, there are no lockups. It is working great. There is still the dwm incompatibility message, but watermark is not there, and everything appears to be running fine.
Not for me! This (14267) and previous ver was really locking things up, sorry to say. I have it on a hp pavillion dv6544eo (laptop) btw...

But think about it. If your phone was stolen and just swich id-unit the phone was accesseble (for the thief) how fun is that. As bay a new iphone all your data is saved safe in icloude. I think it's great...

Did an upgrade today to 14257. After a shaky start the welcome screen showed and an even more shaky login the desktop showed. The first adjustment went to Classic Menu and after a short wail it say it was ok. Second I start AeroGlass gui to fix the blur and color. Then it froze and that was that. Noting to do but a hard reset. Second try I went to Settings (went well) Update... then it froze! nothing to do but an hard reset. I did a 3:e try but the same; after 3-4 comands it freeces. can not even get to "uninstall last preview"

If you don’t use Edge, and I don’t, then its presence in Windows 10 might be a bit of an annoyance, especially when it sets (and occasionally resets) itself to not only be the default browser, but the default PDF reader too. Fortunately, you can block the browser, so you don’t need to ever worry about it again.
To do this you’ll need Edge Blocker, which is a simple tool that does what its name says and blocks Microsoft Edge. It couldn’t be easier to use, as there are just two buttons on the interface -- Block and Unblock.
Once you’ve blocked the browser, it won’t load even if you -- or an app -- tries to launch it.

At the same time, developers who spend time creating apps need to have their titles easily available to potential customers. If one, or both, of these requirements is not met, that creates a serious problem.
Windows Store is in this exact situation, according to multiple developer reports. Microsoft has been unable, or, worse, unwilling, to make the search functionality as useful as users and developers might like, at a time when Windows Store is already being penalized by its pitiful selection of top-tier and quality apps.

...You cannot find my apps anywhere in the app store. Unless you know the exact name of my app, you won't find it. You can type any of the keywords my apps have in their title, description or even in the list of keywords submitted to the store, and it won't list my apps. Sometimes you have to wonder if they're wrecking things on purpose for some mysterious reason. It's hard to believe that they are that incompetent.

When I installed Winsows 10 just lately I noticed that when it installs updates that it slows my computer down and uses 30% to 70% of my processor.
I'll have to check the CPU meter next time there's a big update to see how big the performance hit is, but I too have noticed that my Win10 system gets sluggish when installing updates.

I have notis this too. I went into WI again, this time on a laptop. Meanwhile the download of 11102 I decided to get an adblocker. I notised that surfing was a bit slaggish, but the real suprice was that not one bit of the program was writen to disk, until 11102 was done ( still download). A bit chocked over that, must say.

Update.....I tried another flash drive, and that flash drive is also listed twice in File Explorer. I then tried those two flash drives in another computer also running Windows 10. Same result. I then tried those two flash drives in the wife's computer running windows 8.1 The two flash drives only showed up once as they should. what is the problem with Windows 10 showing the droves twice ? Thanks, Mike

I was't clear over your roules, jaclaz,
I have supported bigmuscle since early -13 and OC I use a key on my machins, except for my windows 10 insider machine. Uptil mid dec-15 when it completly broke down, (since it won't update any more). After a clean install of w10 I decided to end my window insider roll, bc it did't make any sence to go on really.
But under those 13-14 mounths I did't use any key and did not have any problems with BM watermark on my lower right corner ( for a long period windows watermark was there as well.....
So whats your point, really?

Honestly, I've dropped off the insider list. I don't even think the "released" versions are impressive; I was just getting frustrated by the pre-release builds.

Though I haven't seen it personally, there is some evidence online that error code 0x80240009 can come from there being another, conflicting operation in progress.
Have you tried installing it *right* after rebooting?
Also, does your system pass an SFC /SCANNOW check/repair?

I have been trying thru WU download kb3116900 without succes.
What's the error code the Settings App is putting up?
I actually used one of those recently to look up a failure to install a prior update and it turned up an article on how to fix it.
