  1. You didn´t get it. I said it would contain malicious code. And quit trying to scare me, doesn´t work. Even if this piece of software would completely destroy my system, I wouldn´t need two hours to reset it. You would lose money. You´d have to include glasspwm to make me download the new version.
  2. I wonder how much money you could make channeling your energy into something productive instead of whining... You might even have enough already to graciously send 10 Euro to the guy with mad skills who put in years of effort to make your system more pleasant for you to use, and you might still be humble because it's only a small token compared to the work he's done and the knowledge he has. By the way, I'm glad the software has the pop-up and watermark. It helps me keep things straight. I've got Aero Glass for Win 8.1 running with donation keys on several different systems, and just the other day I was doing some maintenance work where I updated my BIN folder from one to the other. By mistake I accidentally copied the donation key with the other files. The system notified me via a pop-up and I immediately knew what I'd done wrong. -Noel I don´t whine. I just have my opinion and you have yours. Cheers.
  3. You made the decision to spread this freeware all over the globe... This argument is not valid and ridicules your whole project btw. So it would be your software that contains malicious code. And I wont install your upcoming version anyway as the current runs fine Yeah, sure And I am not cracking your software, just prevent it from spamming around.
  4. For all these popups I suffered during the Beta test I should get it for free... Nobody forces you to use it, so if you want to create your own usage terms then you should probably create your own software... or, of course, you can install some 4th party library which injects malicious code, but please do not come back when your windows fail to boot :-P Since its my screen I decide what appears on it. If you think you enhance optics with watermarks and popups, you failed, sorry. And your claim that tools liberating your app are running malware, is a random shot. Be sure I run scans. Its really sad that one cannot buy your program, so don´t complain of solutions which don´t meet your requirements.
  5. An now, finally, I can introduce the nice proggy into daily use...
  6. For all these popups I suffered during the Beta test I should get it for free...
  7. I am really tired of that notification and watermark... <link to warez removed>
  8. Nobody complains of the software. Its the donation thingy. I would consider to purchase the software but I don´t donate to someone who even tortured his testers with permanent "its my work" notifications as if it isn´t enough to risk the Windows setup by installing unfinished software in favor of the developer, who even destroys the final versions with his notifications and watermarks as if this piece of software wasn´t for the eyes. Maybe he doesn´t like guys who installed his alphas and betas for their own reasons only and destroyed even the finals for that reason but he´s the whiner then
  9. I told you guys, BM won´t remove his message... Remember? http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/161788-aero-glass-for-win8-rc4/page-72#entry1040506
  10. You can also Install from the Upgrade Disks, but you must change the 0 to a 1 for a good activation then.
  11. You have been asked to create a Final and name a price. So people want to give you money just to get rid of your "I am the King"-Messagebox. Sure, many users don´t want to test or something - yeah, this is why they are users - and sometimes they are ungrateful. But you ain´t better. You enjoy your monopole and intentionally annoy users with your senseless messages. I am sure, if there was a competitive application, you never would have installed the Messagebox, or would have removed it, resp, a final version of your app would exist already. You are permanently crying that people complain of your Messagebox, so you please say "Thank you!" to francesco149, because nobody is complaining anymore and you did not even have to remove your holy Messagebox for that And again, before I´d test a program that intentionally annoys me, I would search for other solutions.
  12. Still have this stupid message in the RC? Isn´t he knowing how long people have been waiting for Aero and then he nevertheless still makes it impossible to use. Given this is a RC the final version will annoy you with a pupup either.
  13. Yep the color calculation method isn't the exact same as what Windows 8 uses. But it goes give you the option of using average color or dominant color. OK, got you wrong. Such a bar doesn´t exist. But for what do you need that Info always? Nowadays it´s really difficult to overcharge a CPU.
  14. I did not test it in RTM because I don´t miss the old TM Thanks for the link, but most points in there a based on the personal opinion of the author and some are simply wrong. Some examples ( not excluding the not mentioned points from what I said above): " -Removed feature: See this image. Which document is which? The old Task Manager showed the application name from the Title bar. The new one gets its name from somewhere else. The document name is only shown in More Details view after expanding by clicking the arrow/triangle." Dear author, you only have to click the more details button once in your lifetime in case you never want to see the simple view of the TM again. "- Removed feature: There is no global status bar showing the total number of processes, CPU usage and physical memory and/or commit charge." There is. You can even choose the CPU usage to be displayed in either global or per core in the diagram view. Additionally you can get the Info from the tray icon, which correctly works. "- No default beep/Ding sound on the Processes tab if I press a key and there is no process or app beginning with that name." What a mess. There is no Processes tab anymore by the way but a Details tab, if you wish to see Processes not be sorted by their origin. .
  15. Tried that like many. KillSwitch for example. But the Win8 TM offers what I want and need and that natively.
  16. The new TM is superior to the old. It provides you with various views and information. If you want the simple Processes list, choose the index Details. Windows 8 includes both TMs by the way, the old and the new one. One is called TM.exe, one taskmgr.exe. And the Explorer was upgraded by the optional Ribbon menu, which I consider useful. For example if you want to select all files in a folder but one or a few, you have have to select all and then exclude those you don´t want to select by selecting them by Ctrl or Shift. In Windows 8 you simply select the files you want to exclude from the selection and then choose Invert selection in the Ribbon menu. Windows 8´s fast start up is a good thing indeed but USB 3 support can be added by the attached motherboard driver disk.
  17. I´m not a programmer but if I was a programmer I maybe would start a project not to get Windows 7 features in Windows 8 but the other way round. But I can make suggestions. Task manager: I would like to have the Windows 8 task manager with all of it features in Windows 7. Ribbon UI: A Ribbon explorer would be nice. There is "Better explorer", but its to slow and overloaded. This is all in my opinion.
  18. I said I tested it already though I came here via Google. I periodically search for Aero Glass. I never said I came here for testing. And I said that all issues I had were mentioned already. I tested 0.7, 0.8 and 0.85. I you complain of people using older versions, why do you still offer those versions?
  19. We know it´s for testing only, but to test means to have to run it regularly. I can´t need a one hour message telling me what I already know so I stopped testing it days ago the more so as all issues I had are mentioned here already. What I deserve is not up to you to decide by the way. You got it. But it should be said that deltebew had no evil intention. There are "Trial resets", "Patchers" and "Pre-cracked" versions of SIB but 99 % of them are contaminated with malware. So if you load a "free" SIB you probably will load some trojans or even viruses to your computer. There are various Youtube clips leading to cracked SIB e.g . S#ckers want to earn via adfly and give you contaminated software. So you can pay the 3 bucks or you can load some malware. If it was about to be a freeware, it would have been enough to mention it once that´s a testing version. You want to earn money? No Problem. Good money for good work. But testers ain´t dummies. That´s what I want to say about it.
  20. So you are that angry about deltebews that you stopped publishing new versions? Should Microsoft stop publishing updates for Windows 8, because a little hacker cracks their user inteface and enables Aero Glass? You are not doing this for fun, you want to make money and this is why you are afraid of versions with removed notifications. There is no cracked Aero Glass for Win8 because there are is no disclaimer by the way. And it is very clear that your final app, when released, will be cracked like every charged program. Don´t tell us, you wasn´t aware of that. I personally resepct your work, but not your behavior here. And in my opinion I can live with a Aero Glass free Windows 8 when it´s therefor liberated from obtrusive BIG MUSCLE placards.
  21. Did he say he will not buy the full version?
  22. Good work. Don´t listen to the apple polishers.
  23. I am using DWMGlass.dll only, deleted the other files. No problems or notification so far, testing it on a fresh setup When the program is finished I maybe purchase it, but the developer, for whom we are just ungrateful parasites, should think over his statements he made here.
