yes it is my hardware problem and i say its my cd-rom drive the point is i do not know how to fix it geeze

dude wtf with all these merging ppl are confused.... i did solve my problem to the 10min startup but i have a new problem right now i have to dissconnect the cables to my cd-rom drive to prevent it from booting 10min but i dont know how to make it so that i dont need to dissconect the cable nah mean

nah i go a seperate cable for hd and a seprate cable for cdroms

i got new cables for the cd drives and still same problem the only way i can boot win2k3 under 10mins is to dissconect the cd drives can ne1 hep me to get around this???????????????

i dont think so because when i use windows 2000 it works fine both of my cd drives works ut when i use win2k3 it do the 10min start up on me here what it say in event viewer The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort0, did not respond within the timeout period. it do not have any info in the troubleshooter...

nah i did and still same problem and it seems to me it do not dectect the slave drive only the master is dected i swich jumpers and change the roles but this time it dected the other drive in stead of the orginal...

It seems i solve the problem to the 10min start up but a new problem have comeup to solve the 10min startup problem i dissconnect one of my cd writers the one that didnt open up during the 10min so after i sutdown and rebooted everything is fine but if i connect the writer back it do the ten mins startup crap is there anyway to fix my cd writer so that it will not do the ten mins start up on me plez help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

update i just notice that my cd drive seems to be working during the 10min of desktop startup in other words during the 10min none of the cd reader/writer would eject or would spin when it have a disk inside of it

can anyone help me with my window2003 startup crisis ne tips i should try?

i got it to work it has to do with my jumper settings but dang it still boot up in 10 mins why!!!!!! i got 400mh but gamehead say he can boot perfectly with less mh what is the matter with this thing?

wtf in win2003 it still cant detect a diffrent hard drive is there a problem
