  1. I have a 19" LCD, with a native resolution of 1280x1024, which is what I have AoE2 set at as well.
  2. What are you using for an mp3 player under Vista x64? Winamp is telling me it's not compatible. Any suggestions, or are you just using WMP11?
  3. I've been using 2 computers now with x64 versions of Vista, and I have no complaints at all. I started using Vista x86, but after switching to x64 when I upgraded to 4 GB of memory, I haven't ever given a thought to switching back.
  4. Are you checking the option to show processes from all users? It's on the bottom left of the processes list screen in Task Manager.
  5. If you go to the Welcome Center, and click Show More Details, it will tell you under the System section.
  6. I tried the game late last night, and you're right, no keys required. Unfortunately, the game looks like crap under Vista. It plays fine, but the colors are off.
  7. I found my CDs for AoE II and the expansion pack, but no CD covers or cases. I'd love to play this game again, but I can't, if they have CD keys. I guess I could always start the game install, and see if it prompts me for one. Anyway, I was hoping someone would remember installing this game, and could tell me if keys are needed. I'm guessing yes, but I don't remember. I know there's no way to find out the keys from the discs either.
  8. I remember finding a patched uxtheme.dl_ file (I think that's the name) online and replacing the one on the CD with that downloaded file.
  9. I create my own user account, and use it however the Vista default is. UAC doesn't bug you very much, once you get the PC setup initially. I rename my admin account, and give it a strong password, but I don't use it.
  10. I believe UltraISO and maybe WinRAR can open them, but neither are free.
  11. No problems here either, with Vista Ultimate x64.
