[OLD] Aero Glass for Win8.1+
So I don't know if this is a problem with Aero Glass or Start Is Back, but I only get this problem when both are installed on the same machine. These grey boxes show up around start menu items as well as on the sides of notification area icons. It is not screenshotable so I had to use my phone camera. (Keep in mind that it doesn't matter which start menu style you use, the problem remains. I just used the W7 style to show it better)

OldNewExplorer 1.1.9
I am not having this problem

OldNewExplorer 1.1.9
I was aware of that. That however does not change the fact that it would be nice to be added as a feature. Microsoft even took the time to make a new login sound yet it is never used

OldNewExplorer 1.1.9
I have an idea for a feature that may be possible to implement, although i dont know if it would be possible. Re-enable the logon and logoff sounds. As Microsoft seems to have hard coded these not to play anymore during logon and logoff. Kinda a bummer

Actually, even version 1.2.1 is compatible with Update 1 and no additional change is needed. You just need symbol files for it to make it work :-)1.2.1 still have same problem of 1.2 with MSDN Update 1 You need symbols, it would work if you had the symbols as BM said. Microsoft will release them on the 8'th.

Would like to know this as well. Based off the changes, i dont believe so. If Microsoft only had symbols for 8.1 Update 1 uploaded it should work on 1.2. Just wait a bit less then a month and you will have the update working with Aero Glass (hopefully). And if not, rumor is that a preview build of Windows 9 will be coming out at the BUILD conference, and if its any good more people may want to use that.
