thanks for repley, anonymous_user, but this isn't easy as it seems. -> this works for the background - thanx but: the problem is, that, after i logon (insert password+return) the logon-window turns into black (gets xpized). on the picture it's blue. same with background (solved) and same at logoff - the black window gets blue + blue desktop. so i supose the theme is load after login and unload by logoff. may there be a way to change the very standard theme? i'm not an expert in skinning windows due in other windows stuff ;P. so someone another idea? thanks!! hi guys, first thanx zedox for his great work. i installed xpize darkside and it seems to work but i expected two little things: (please have a look the the pictures i attached). i'm using the "classical" logon and shutdown-screen and this screens are "xpized", too. but in the first stage of logon and the last stage of logoff it turns in "standard-windows-style". also the background is turned into blue. has someone an idea about it why this happens and how to prevent? thanx!!

Hi everybody, maybe someone has a hint for me to solve this phenomenon which occure when i install an unattended windows with hotfixes (using svcpack.inf) and the bts-driver-packs (latest version and previous): after finishing the installation the system file checker (SFC) runs and prompt me to insert the windows-cd for recovering some system files. so i don't know why. is this caused by some drivers of the bts-packs? or by some hotfixes? how can i find out which files should be replaced by sfc? how can i windows tell to keep this files if they are neccessary? i'm thankful for some suggestions. B)

hi folks, so i've some similar problems like Morkeleb, especailly MS Office XP. most problems disapeared as i used the verbose-mode (wtf? no idea ... never mind ) but Office installation still ends with the error code 00000656 - any idea? how can i found out what this error-code means? Thanks for help! PS: commandline: OfficeXP\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- Installation works fine with RunOnceEx-Method

thanx guys for replying to my question. i'm sorry for answering so late but i've lot of work at the moment. so for deeper analysis i will tell you in detail what i've done so far with the acro installation: 1. my first try was to slepstream the updates up tp 7.0.3 like the guide descript. all things worked fine. 2. want to slepstream 7.0.5. - i proceed like in the guide descripted - of course from the original source, slipstreaming went fine without any error messages. 3. testing the slipstreamed installation: installer startet with the provided command line and installs acrobat. 4. starting acrobat after installation for checking version: acrobat told me version 7.0.0 is installed!?? -wtf?? 5. build the executable rar file: all options are set like the guide told me (rar-version: 3.51) 6. test the rar-exe: files are extracted silently and then the installer does not start up. with 7zip - same problem; made also a ahk-skript, which start the installer - works from harddisk, but when the installer should be launched by winrar - nothing happens. don't know whats wrong - especially why slipstreamning will not work any more. so i've done this process again and again and soon i'm trying eggs & nuts wtf.

Okay ... never the less i got a curious problem: wenn i finaly run the package-exe-file, it extracts the content and than ... nothing. Yes, i've added the needed commands to run the setup after extraction. this command still works great on commandline. seems winrar is not passing the commands? or it cannot lunch the msiexec. also a ahk-script (which still works unpacked) is not launched by winrar. has someone else these problems? any workarounds? Thx TBX

FYI: i now played a little bit with 7zip instead of winrar (never the less a great package-proggy ) and got a 1/3 smaller file size. but it's more difficult to build a 7zip-sfx with installation functionality.

Thanks for this fine guide ... i was going confused by trying to add the 7.0.5 update before i recognized a update of this thread. autoit: there's a alternative script language called autohotkey - not very different but comes with a macro-recorder. i tryed to use it but with no success up to this time. - because the activation is hardware driven, there won't be a solution for static activation (key, files or what ever...).

Hi out there, i've a laptop with ati mobility card and tried out the drivers from DNA, Omega and the ModderTool. My experience was that DNA and Omega drivers causes crashes in games and DVD-Playback. Since i use the original Catalyst-Driver with the ModderTool all things will work fine. So I would appreciate it when these method will be used to integrate ATI Mobilitiy Card Support. By the way: nice work.
