Yeah your on the same page as me, was reading this before http://forum.3dpixelnet.com/showthread.php?p=94457#post94457 and also tried the ultramon software (http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/download.asp) but that didnt seem to install properly. Apparently Nview allows you to stretch the res of the primary monitor, im just downloading some new catalyst drivers so ill see.

i've just recently got a new tft monitor and im also using a crt monitor. i've set xp up so that the windows desktop is on both but im just wondering how i could get a dual display wallpaper to stretch acrosss both screens?My card is an ATI Radeon 9800 pro

Hi, it's been a while since i've been here and i notice the linux section has dissapeared so i figured i'd post here. Ok I recently installed Mandrake 10.2 rc on my box with no problems at all thanks to the sata error been fixed in the RC. I've also trawled the net for hours trying to figure this and i cant. It's AOL Broadband Via a DSL modem connected via ethernet. It seems i have 4 options: > Firstly there's a program called peng: I've tried to install this both the graphical and text based version but to no avail maybe it just wont work since this is a lot newer release than the app is intended for + a different beast, apparantly it works on Red Hat 7.2 > VMWare Under VMWare i have Win2k,XP SP2 and Fedora installed. The AOL software installs and connects in XP and when i set my eth0 connection up in Mandrake it says it's connected but for some reason i just cant get on the web so i'm guessing the LAN is fine. Would a router sort this? > Change Linux to Suse or Redhat I dont really want to do this as i'm quite new and figure that Mandrake is more Newbie friendly. Plus a lot of oter versions dont really support my setup with sata and 64 bit system >Give UP I really want to learn about linux and all that comes with it, this would be a last resort. Anyone?

I tried to install it with different kernals different options but everytime setup tried to load viaraid.sys and the the promise drivers for my MSI FIS2R Board's sata they both failed..

Yeah its gb was a typo sorry. I've ran checkdisk from dos and its found no errors. I've also ran O+O Defrag Server edition and my drive is fine and yes i have a amd 64 bit athlon with MSI Neo Platinum Mobo ill try the other software.

ok ive got a western digital 250 gig caviar sata 7200rpm drive. im running windows xp but it only picks it up as 232mb. 2nd problem is i want to partition the drive, when i try to resize the partition (theres only 1) and intall another partiton or if i simply resize it alone, when i reboot for partition magic to apply changes it comes up with the error something like drive flagged for non directory or something to that extent. this is really annoying because i want to install xp 64 bit edition and i cant because i cant create this new partition. any ideas?

hey guys! ok i've played this game till the end even after completing it so all mods are available in quick race mode, completed all races in world mode from stage 1 through to 5, but it still says it's only 98% complete! WHY!?theres nothing else to do!

Hey guys i got a free copy of linspire 4.5 the other day normally i think its about 49$ heh, (no its not warez its from a competition). For anyone who doesn't have a clue linspire is the new name for the lindows OS which is a combination of linux and window hence the former name lindows. Just wondering if anyones tested it out yet?

from what i know of bootscreens i dont think you can remove the progress bar and i dont think i have the time to recreate the main image sorry. IMO its not that good a bootscreen anyways, check some more out

Firstly, lol @ the gmail invite reward, i think most people on msfn will have a gmail account by now anyway. The program that i think you can use to extract the logon screen with is called resedit made by tgtsoft then you can edit the text with you favourite image editor and recompile the logon screen again using resedit. Easy

Load and image of your choice. Make sure its in rgb format. If its not goto Image/Mode/RGB. Select the colour dropper from the tools menu and take the colour of the main body of the image. Then select the pen tool and trace the outline of the main body using the pen tool and by adjusting the curves using the alt key. Its better if when you do this you turn the transparancy of the layer that you are creating by tracing the original image is set low so you can see better. Pick out any parts of the image that overlay for example a bikini or whatever and apply the same as above. Now for the shading, try not to do too much and only pick out necessary shades. This is harder with skintones but i usually use the main body colour then bring up the colour palette and select custom then choose a lower pantone. Usually its best to use 2 different shades slightly dark and dark.with the latter over the top. click on the eye of your base layer (the first tracing layer and all relevent items above it to make it invisible. Then trace where you think the image needs shading. Once you've got your shading change the transparency to about 10-20% Sometimes although try not to, use the brush tool where necessary but as i say only if you feel you cant do it using the pen tool. Thats about it Ill make a more detailed tute soon

Nah im using photoshop 7, dont like cs no keyboard shortcuts but a lot of people prefer illustrator. Heres one ive just finished
