  1. I have the problem on every single pc and vmware machine. after a lot of testing since yesterday, i found out that the problem depends on my .sif i'll now go for an "cut'n'rip'" trip to see which line could cause such a problem. i dont believe that this can happen through such an app, because $winnt.~ls$ is the folder from where the data gets pushed to $1/foldername. For your case it would mean that zonealarm gets installed from C:\install\apps\zonealarm\setup.exe not from c:\$winnt.~ls$\$1\apps\zonealarm\setup.exe. If the ZA setup would get stuck, your problem would be the copyed install folder itself not the $winnt.~ls$ which should be already gone at this phase.
  2. my setup and most of the folders are equal with the steps oioldman did. "I used risetup to create the original folder structure then added the $oem$ structure and modified the .sif as required." i don't have this issue since the begining of my ris, it happend around half a year later while my rissystem grows and got more complex.
  3. atm i have the same wiered problem as oioldman. - win2k3 risserver deploying w2k wxp w2k3 images it happens on every deploy, no matter if plain or full of apps&patches it's been awhile since i recognized the problem but now i have the time to analyze it more seriously. i hope u'r also still on the ride oioldman B)
  4. i prefer to use cmdow.exe just put it into \$OEM$\$$\System32 the first string in your .cmd should be "cmdow @ /hid" and you wont c the current command window anymore. i know u want to c the .cmd window but with no text in it, so perhaps you try to play around with cmdow.
  5. do you have all these files on ur fd ? if so ... did u tryed to recreate another fd ? even try redownloading the Latest SATA Drivers

  9. I think im going to rip off my unattended RIS installation until it works again. Afaik it was before ie6sp1 steped into the package or a post SP1 fix.
  10. I tryed but the situation didnt changed. only after a clean uninstall i get the "where to download" dialog back for pdf files. please remember that i have no problems with viewing in webbrowser but viewing in external AAR application.
  11. Hi, After i upgraded to Internet Explorer 6 SP1 with preSP2 patches on a Windows 2000 SP4 with preSP5 patches, i get the following problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader. When i click a PDF on the net i dont want it to be opened in the IE instead i prefer getting the AAR opened as a seperated task, but instead i get a place holder icon and not even a "where to download" dialog. When i turn back on the "display in web" in AAR, everything works fine ... except it isnt a separated task ... it is the ie plugin If anyone over here at msfn has an idea .... tell me ... i'll try everything.
