  1. Hey people! I have downloaded some of the stuff from this thread, and it has really helped me! RogueSpear, I have a request, is it at all possible to make the Daemon 4.03HE install to the old Daemon 3.xx directory, C:\Program Files\D-Tools ? It would help me hugely ! Thankyou kindly, DJ
  2. Thanks! I will try them right away /Damir
  3. *Disclaimer: Dont know if this is the right forum, but the right people should be here * Hello! I've been on this problem from time to time, and never found a effective solution, so now I am posting here! Does anyone know of a way to change the desktop picture on the fly with a command-line tool (or a utility that takes configuration options?) It needs to be done quickly, prefferably by executing a command / *.bat file! The wanted effect: Executing a utility with a command line / clicking a bat file, and the desktop changes to a new one, thats defined in the file / command line. Any takers ? Thankyou ! /Damir
  4. But it doesent happen in ordinary run-of-the mill xp ? only after adding drivers ? /Damir
  5. Okay, I usually try to figure out things for myself, but I've been having huge trouble with this, and havent been able to fix it since starting to come thease forums about a year ago ! When I make my unattended cd with the driverpacks, it all installs flawlessly, no problem whatsoever... BUT After windows installation, whenver I plug in a device, like a mouse, windows opens the "new hardware wizard" and tells me to either install drivers automatically or if I want to specify. Why in the world does it do this for default drivers ? I mean, in default XP, when I plug in a standard usb mouse, it just displays a "new hardware detected" in the systray, and installs the driver autmatically. Isnt that possible to do ? I mean, I am not trying to install hardware that isnt supported by windows, its standard stuff, that in the normal version works perfectly. I run a internet café, and its extremly annoying to have it pop up when you just for example move the mouse to the other USB port or such. I am ready to do just about *anything* to have this solved! Yours kindly, Damir
  6. My Nforce3 sound is getting installed as C-Media AC97, and it has a non-working yellow exclamation next to it.. If I go to change it, and choose "select driver", the nForce driver is listed there, and when I select it , Windows warns me that there are better suited drivers then the one I chose.... But if I ignore the warning, the nforce driver works flawless =) /Damir
  7. Except the search tool refuses to search for three letter words =) /Damir
  8. Hello! I have a question for Bashrat =). Is it possible in any way to remove / disable the nvidia PATA driver from the mass storage pack ? I have tried manually, but all I get is reboot while windows is loading the second phase of the setup. Which means I did it wrong! The reason I need to remove it is becouse nVidias PATA driver is incompatible with a software I use called Deep Freeze, which is one of the best freezing software. What it does is keeps the system in a "current" state. You can install whatever you want, do whatever you want, when you remove, its all gone. Even the baddest viruses do not stick. But nVidia has never been able to fix the bugs aroound the their IDE implementation which stops Deep Freeze from working!. So I ask again, is there any possibility to get a .cmd file that I could run that would remove all references to the nvidia IDE driver ? Thankyou very kindly, Damir
