  4. hmmm so how would i do that? the reason it is already there is because you add the computer with the GUID so when the RIS is run it detects the computer name. any ideas? thanks
  5. Hey, i am just wondering if anyone else is having these problems, and has a solution? When i run the RIS it installs, however it sometimes does not autologon, but it is set in the SIF [GuiUnattended] AutoLogon=Yes AutoLogonCount=1 this happens maybe 5% of the time, of machines that are re-ris, which means they were preveously RIS, and now again, so the computer account already exists. also the second problem is that it doesnt always want to join to the domain, BUT i think this may be to do with the account already existing in the domain. once logged in i can easily join it, it just doesnt want to join during the RIS Thanks for your help, it is much apreciated!!!!!
  6. Hey, the installation was working fine, once installed, i put a reg entry runonce, so wen it 1st logs on the runonce runs and does what i want it to, the thing is if i use [Display] Vrefresh=85 The auto logon doesnt work, for autologon i use [GuiUnattended] AutoLogon=Yes AutoLogonCount=1 any ideas? it works ok if i dont set the refresh rate, could it be a compatibility thing with the monitors i use? all monitors and video cards are diffrent, and some it works, some it doesnt Thanks
  7. Hey, how would i remove a computer from a domain and add it to a workgroup? This is to be done after the RIS isntalls XP, and at the run once, when the first admin user logs in is there a script or something to add a computer to a workgroup, it is currently in a domain thanks
  8. No the b57win32.inf the inf that comes with the driver files... something odd, it just started working today.... weird would anyone know why? is this maybe a networking issue? thnaks
  9. any ideas? i have checked all 25 machines we have and they all work except this one. All are running the same bios version, and same network card. i have run diagnostics on the card and it all passess any ideas?
  10. Hey i am getting a stop error: An initialization failure occured while attempting to boot from network. 0x000000BB(0x00000003, 0xc00000BD, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) I am using a broadcom network adapter, and have configured the inf file and put it in the i386 directory the thing is we have 25 of these exact machines, and 2 out of 10 tested get the error, it is only when it is done through the RIS. I have run a diagnostic test and no errors, also checked the firmware versions, and it is the same on all the computers. I am also using the latest driver 7.86 any suggestions?
  11. ok i worked it out.... you need to put speech marks "" [Identification] DomainAdmin="Admin" DomainAdminPassword="pass" JoinDomain="DomainA"
  12. Hey, I cannot get it to work. This is the process log into the RIS then go seklect the OS and it creates a computer name "Administrator1" then we go into Active Directory and find it, copy the machine ID create a new computer in the correct OU and tick the box for remote install, paste the ID. delete "Administrator1" then we reboot the machine, select the OS and it finds the correct computer name "Comp1" and we run the install, however it is not joining it to the domain. this is the sif file [Identification] DomainAdmin=DomainA\Admin DomainAdminPassword=pass JoinDomain=DomainA could someone help me out please thanks alot
