it is a known problem and as far as i know there is no known solution for that and metro. will wait and see somebody to patch somethings.

They are made with embedded file lists and windows 8 file compare method. But they are windows 8, not embedded.

It works. As i see, you use volume names for advertising. 300kb one was "joakim" and this one is "tiny". I understand such behaviour but if it can stay unchanged i will be appreciate. You can embed somewhere in file as it can be seen with hex editing or any other way. Anyway i can live with it. thx.

Unfortunately it's dead As it not fits my requirements but every soft will have it's own users that fits to their recuirements. I do not support such an end and reaction. I think the publisher has a few mistakes in my sight. He was should not make same GUI, same interface, same scripting, same naming. it does not add any registry stuff. just copying files is enough for them to work.

Extrat msi installer with uniextract there is tools cab. In it there is files and the folders where you need to put.

367mb boot.wim with printer and remote desktop support. Did not optimized. It's converted from base english winpe to turkish winpe because english one auto loads all the drivers by itself. I could not remake same again. Maybe needs some more fixes. I played with win 8 release preview today. It looks promising. i think we will see very good stuff as soon as it rtms. 285mb

First i do not advice to use sp1 winpe, i do not see any point to use it. I did not know "all.wpf" and "core.wpf" are txt files before you mention here, do not have any idea what for they will be usefull to edit, only i am sure they need for profilling to work. I can only give a procmon log file if it will be usefull to see called files and registry. I do not have exact registry and files list. Just i checked if it works and not and it works. Wim file is 360mb with lots of files with printer support. Remote desktop probaby can work under 300mb. Profilling continue to work. In near future i can just boot to a command shell run remote desktop, grab needed files list and get list the minimum files.

After long time remote desktop connection to pe possible. No need to do anything after boot, it will be ready to connect Also i managed to change language of pe's. A little hard work but it's also possible.

There is big difference. It is not only finish with comparing removing. There is really hard work. First of all i could not capture the installed thin pc image sysprep or without it and use as install.wim As i see that most of drivers absent for normal usage. I put drivers back again. Also embedded has it's own packages, manifest, winsxs folder "emb". There is a big folder comparasion but it is usefull at winsxs removal. I already said that how i did it, i do not have manual, how to, it was just for to clarify my method. And i also should say that my wim is not embedded wim, it is pure consumer preview with everything and all files. I also had hybrid editions before but this is not.

There is predefined templates in embedded standart toolkit iso. Also can use x86 runtime to install with that templates.

Used dism. Made a windows 8 embedded thin client template wim. Compared files and removed differences.

False. It is a custom winpe with setup packages preinstalled in it and winpe servicing commands works on it.

Woow very impressive. "NOTE:You have to do windows root directory assignment ONLY on index-1 image file in boot.wim image." should be true. Because mostly i have that error when i try to make a winpe from index 1 image. If command "Dism /image:D:\data\tmpWimMount /Set-TargetPath:X:\" works it will make everything very easy.
