  1. Well I ran scandisk and it found no errors, but last night I left my computer on and when I got up it had restarted. The event viewer shows this message Event Type: Information Event Source: USER32 Event Category: None Event ID: 1074 Date: 2/15/2006 Time: 3:05:10 AM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: XEON800FSB Description: The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart of XEON800FSB for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Minor Reason: 0x2 Shutdown Type: reboot Comment: Data: 0000: 02 00 02 80 ...
  2. I'm going to run chkdsk on all of my drives this weekend, I will report back probably sometime on Sunday
  3. Where is the log created of each drive scanned?
  4. Hmm ok thanks. I usually try to run chkdsk on all my hdd's about once every 2 weeks... I normally right click the hdd - properties- scan disk, but I'm assuming that if I restart my computer using a 98boot disk I can also run it that way on all drives? What is the proper syntax? to run chkdsk/f on all drives?
  5. Reinstalling Quicktime does not solve the problem... any other ideas?
  6. What kind of hard disk issue? Why does this problem only happen with quicktime movies?
  7. Thanks, I also sent you a PM back but I'm not sure that it went through so I will just post here also... I don't think there is a kernel or full dump, but like I said before I can recreate the crash so if you could tell me how to setup windows to create a full dump upon crashing then I can recreate the crash and upload the file.
  8. Here are all the miniDump's there are 11 total including the one posted above, It only happens when I open a quicktime file... www.silverscreencreations.com/images/Minidump.rar
  9. Here is the dump file... Mini020706_11.rar
  10. The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000f4 (0x00000003, 0x85faea20, 0x85faeb94, 0x80604498). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020706-11.dmp. Now this is my first time using WinDbg 6.6 - and I think I have done everything right up till now... when I open the dump file this is what WinDbg comes up with.... Maybe someone here can give me some more info? I'm not sure why it comes up Unable to verify timestamp, nor why it says "Probably caused by : csrss.exe" The good thing is, is that I can reproduce the error that causes the system crash, it happens every time I open a .mov (quicktime) file that I have saved on my computer. So I'm thinking that if I save a more detailed dump file that will give me more info on exactly what is causing it? 11. i don't know what the new file names are, I really need someone to walk me through it for my SATA drivers...
  12. Alright I really need someone to help me, I need my computer back up and running but i need to get this slipstreaming thing right...... heres what I got I have a dual xeon, 2 WD SATA set up in RAID 0, I already have my Windows xp cd slipstreamed with SP2, but I want to add the SATA drivers for it b/c I have a usb floppy drive and its a pain in the a** to use the setup boot disks. I have a adaptec SATA raid card (on board). I have the drivers for it already, I just don't know how to slipstream the sp2 cd, so if someone can please help me please please please... i would be very greatful... When I use the make driver disk from the mobo manfacture cd it creates 2 files (hraidsk1, and txtsetup.oem) and 1 folder the folder on the floppy drive that contains ( aarich, aarich, adhraid, adhraid, oemsetup). If someone could please walk me through slipstreaming these into the sp2 cd I already have that would be great. (right no i'm using my roomates computer). pls help.....
  13. Alright I downloaded the above program but I don't understand step 3 .. 3. Now you have to copy the extracted folder Drivers (with the subfolder 006_MassStorage) to $OEM$\$1\. So that would be X:\UWCD\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\006_MassStorage. I copied my XP cd onto the desktop in folder xppro. So I'm a little unsure of what to copy where?
  14. I just bought and installed and set up a DH-800 MOBO with 2 raptors, and I can't seem to get the RAID drivers to install, so I want to slipstream them into my windows cd which already has SP2 slipstreamed but I'm just unclear how to slipstream the RAID drivers. The RAID card is built into the mobo and it is one of these: Adaptec SATA/SCSI RAID Controller Series Adaptec Serial ATA RAID 1210SA Controller so if some one could just walk me through how to slipstream those drivers that would be great.
