Try the following: get grub4dos (latest experimental version) from here: http://code.google.c.../downloads/list from the downloaded package extract only grldr and copy it to root of the active partition of your internal HD (I presume C:\ ), i.e. where NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and BOOT..INI are. edit BOOT.INI like here: http://diddy.boot-la...ws.htm#windows1 adding the line to it. Try booting without the external HD connected. Choose the grub4dos entry. At the command prompt type: root (h and press [TAB] key you should get something like: possible disks are : hd0 Switch PC off. Attach the e-sata HD and repeat the above, if you get: possible disks are : hd0 hd1 it means that the e-sata is enumerated by BIOS and you have good chances. jaclaz thanks for the reply man, what I want is the Win7 will be loaded to the eSATA drive so that when I attached the eSATA drive, i can then press the hotkey to manually select which OS to boot and then when I unplug the eSATA i can just boot to Windows XP normally

Hi Everyone, I have spare 160 GB 2.5" laptop HDD and wants to perform manual OS boot selection on my current laptop Toshiba Tecra M10 on the eSATA port, has anyone ever try this before ? Internal Laptop HDD - Windows XP External eSATA casing - Windows 7 So if I remove the eSATA casing I can just boot directly to the Windows XP OS without having to open the back case of my laptop. Hi Everyone, Can anyone help me in diagnosing this problem please ? when I tried to ping my newly setup host called host1 from local cmd prompt, it returns IPv6 when I ping from the DNS server, it returns public IP address of host1.com not the internal IP address ? when I tried to ping the internal IP address from anywhere (host1 or other server) it replied fine. this is DHCP assigned client, on the Windows Server 2003 DNS server console, ican see it is registering successfully but not in the DNS. is there anything that I can or need to do to make it ping able using host.domain.com ? the Antivirus is running and not blocking ICMP packet and firewall is managed by Symantec End Point AV Thanks.

Hi, I'm having mysterious issue that confused me for such a long time till now, I've got one DC which acted as DNS and DHCP as well. I'm using Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 64 bit AD integrated for both DNS and DHCP server. However it is successfully giving out IP address to all IP enabled device and machine but when updating the DNS entry, only the Windows machine (workstations and server) gets their IP registered in the DNS server, therefore i cannot ping and access the other Linux machine apart from using IP address only. restarting the DNS (plus RELOAD the entry) and DHCP services doesn't help at all and also entering the DHCP assigned IP address into the DNS server caused more problem since the address is assigned to different host already by DHCP but not gets updated in the DNS server (only to non-windows machine). If anyone know how to diagnose and help me solve this problem that'd be very great helps. Thanks.

Hi Everyone, I have Outlook 2007 SP2 with Exchange Server 2007 SP1, When I create a meeting request and later try to change the details I find that outlook says I am not the organiser. It says that myemail@domain.com is the organiser, which it thinks is not me! Any idea why? It is very confusing for everyone because they end up with multiple entries in their calendar because I can't cancel the old entry. Thanks.

Hi All, I'd like to know if it is possible to achieve this scenario for my web design, I've got company ITIL diagram that I'd like to make it show the hyperlink to a file download for each respective box (mouse hover / over effect) should I create a HTML table for this or create image mappings from the VISIO diagram .vsd file ? so when the user hover above one of the box it should display the hyperlinks to the document in another page then click that URL to go to that particular document. anyone know how to achieve this ?
