  2. you are strange man plase, read: i suggest you to calm down i've read all that stuff and done all that stuff and nothing is working but astalavista, if you don't know why, you don't have to say anything... thanks to other people sonica
  3. Thanks but i jsut want to install some extension, don't need all that stuff. however it seem there's some other problem. neither simon nor altavista method worked so i tried to manually install an extension with the command that the script normally uses: "%PROGRAMFILES%\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -install-global-extension mouse_gestures-1.0-fx+mz+tb.xpi but nothins happens what's wrong? i use italian version of firefox i also tried to launch astalavista profile with Program files path corrected but no luck. sonica
  4. eheheh so i don't have to use xpi and jar that i find in my harddrive after i've installed them? have i to download them from mozilla site without installing them?
  5. thanks but i know where to put them i just don't know where to GET them sonica
  6. hi i need some help with estensions silent installation i managed to install italian version of firefox silently but i'm not able to setup extension... i read the guide on first page but it didn't worked... maybe i just copied wrong xpi and jar where i have to get there from my working installation? thanks sonica
  7. Some friend i lend my unattended cd with wpi asks for some kind of progress bar. I know that this is not possible cause we just launch many installer independently. So i thought that it would be nice if there was a field labelled "approximate installation time" and in some place of the choosing page the total value of what user has choosed. This won't be real installation time but at least it gives to the user some hint. what do you think about this? sonica
  8. Thanks for suggestion. I choosed to use AutoIT3 to write a script for launching wpi. I have been able in this way to compile it as a regular .exe, giving it an icon, not to display any dos window and Norton Antivirus let me run it without any problem. In my opinion it looks like more professional. I haven't included fonts copying function because i don't need it and because i had some problem to understand dos syntax, however i guess it's not so hard convert it to AutoIt. this is the script if you need it $path = "\$OEM$\Install\wpi\WPI.hta";My wpi.hta is in %CDROM%\$OEM$\Install\wpi\WPI.hta. Put a backslash at the beginning. ; 4294967295 is decimal for ffffffff RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Styles", "MaxScriptStatements", "REG_DWORD", 4294967295) $var = StringLeft ( @ScriptDir, 2 ) $var = $var & $path $var = @SystemDir & "\mshta.exe " & $var RunWait($var) thanks sonica
  9. Hi, i'm italian too. Nice idea to open an italian forum. Just a suggestion: "Non Presidiato" is an awful translation for "Unattended"! sonica
  10. is it legal to use a keygen to register a program that i regularly bought in an unattended installation?
  11. Hi this is not strictly linked with WPI but it's related in some way... I have wpi running during unattended installation and it works fine, ok but i also use my unattended cd with wpi to install apps only. i'd like an elegant way to manually launch wpi now i have a .cmd script in CD root that works fine but it's not nice cause i can see black dos windows before wpi runs. i'm not been able to change it icon too. can you suggest some other way to have a link in root? thanks sonica
  12. not working for me i used wpi.cmd and tried with %~dp0 and with the exact path but each time a received an error window saying it was unable to find wpi.hta sonica
  13. posted in wrong place sorry, but resolution problem with low resolution is present also in 3.2.4 sonica

  21. hi i used the method described here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...10entry222997 and it seemed to work with VMWare without network support but when i used it in a VMachine with network it failed and it ask to activate... can you confirm this? is there a way to make it thinking that i don't have any network? thanks sonica
  22. yeah, i want to do this. for what i know not everything inside $OEM£ is copied on hd, just things in $...$ subfolders i was using that syntax, as written in an old wpi version, in fact that syntax still works in wpi var cmd1=[]; // drive + Command Line 1, drive = 'systemdrive' or 'cdrom' or 'programfiles' or 'windir' or '' however using %cdrom% avoid quotes problem thanks sonica
  23. found a problem with escape feature: i am not able to insert this: cmd1[pn]=['cdrom', '$OEM$\\Install\\net_framework\\netfxsp1.exe'] if i manually edit config.js and insert that string then wpi loads it as: cdrom', '$OEM$\Install\net_framework\netfxsp1.exe and if i save from wpi it saves it as: cmd1[pn]=['cdrom\', \'$OEM$\\Install\\net_framework\\netfxsp1.exe'] i don't know what to insert in form to have the right string sonica
  24. only vartical scrollbar is missing, if you use mouse scroll or keyboard you can scroll the window and see buttons thanks for escape feature i have another hint for this release but i don't know if javascript supports it i'd like the possibility to popup options page when i dasabled options button. i'd like to press some keybord combo ex: CTRL + O to bring options pane up, or at least to bring back options button. and when options language configuration files will be avaible i can help translating it in italian bye sonica
