  1. You're absolutely right about Thunderbird. I am extremely dissapointed about the user unfriendliness of the UI. One of the key tenets of software UI design (this is especially true if one is going after Windows / Mac market) is that it has to be so friendly and id*** proof that a 10 year old can use it. Firstly, if you download Thunderbird and hope to interface with your hotmail, forget it. It could be that I am wrong since I only fiddle around with it for two days. The interface to hotmail is complex. I have found so far references to a software called Mr.Postman which must be used with a Java Service Wrapper (http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/introduction.html#service). And if you use Mr.Postman, you have got to use your own / ISP provider's SMTP. Absolute, great eh? Well, I can't complaint too much since this is free ware anyways.
