  1. allen2 is right in case you want to get just the password, but if its ok to replace the current sam with older sam it will be more easy, here it is the steps:

    go to %systemroot%\System Volume Information\_restore{xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx}

    and then search for your sam file it will be there named to somethingSAM anyway name it back to SAM (without extentions and copy it to %systemroot%\system32\config.

    YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE THE PERMISSIONS OF system volume information before you can access it, also be sure you have show hidden files choose and hide protected system files unchecked.

  2. Guy can i NAT a virtual IPs came from NAT lets say i have a router its real ip which access the internet is 62.1.2.3 and the router route to range 10.0.0.1 /24 and i want to make a natting again so my internal lan use 172.16.20.1, i know you gonna wonder why i could need to something like this, well i want to use the connection direct from the router while i limit the bandwith and the web access for some people by building in ISA server, so simply i want to NAT one of the internal IPs and then give another range of internal IP to the limited monitored users, is that possible ?

  3. For me WMA is ok good quality with good size, i can make it in the same quality of mp3 file and with 4mb mp3 file it will be something less than 3 mb while you save its quality you can make it smaller if you used a lower bitrate i have some wma files smaller than 1 mb and its hard to recognize its defference than mp3,ScubaSteve try to check wma varibale bitrate to beleive me. :)

  4. /BOOTLOGO

    Use this switch to have Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 display an installable splash screen instead of the standard splash screen. First, create a 16-color (any 16 colors) 640x480 bitmap and save it in the Windows directory with the name Boot.bmp. Then add "/bootlogo /noguiboot" to the boot.ini selection.

  5. why not just use Lame Encoder and encode them to Mp3, its a far better audio format than crappy old wma.

    I dont agree, wma isnt old there is three versions of wma 7 8 and 9 and i see its really wonderful good quality and small size, there is a converting option called variable bitrate its change the bitrate depend on the richness of the audio which save the size, i use Plus! Digital Media Edition converter which nice and easy, but there is Windows media encoder and its do the same job with more advanced options, its available as a free download at microsoft you can give it a try generally 64 bit converting gonna do a good job.

  6. I just want to mention about something here, there is two options in most of firewalls its dynamic port open vs static port open, in the dynamic case firewall just open the port when a specified program asking for that which is more secure in static port open the firewall keep tbe port open in all cases which is less secure and it can be detected by port scanners.

  7. So your problems just appear after installing drivers ? isolate the problem by installing windows then reboot your machine several times to be sure you dont face the problem, then install drivers one by one until you isolate the problem, also check your event viewer for any related errors.
