booogy, that's great, I'll test it tomorrow!
-
booogy, and how we can do that? using nLite before installing? or after XPSP3 is installed and running?
-
Hi there, is anyone testing the nLite integration with the new SP3 beta? The build number is 2600.3205, a bit newer than the previous 2600.3180 Is it working all right? Thanks in advance. Rebêlo.

nitroshift, are you sure you're talking about datacenter edition? because even 'converting' it to a workstation, I still couldn't run games. It's datacenter, not the Standard edition of 2003, which runs perfectly fine with games and all. Thanks!

Hi, I've been running Windows 2003 Datacenter SP2 and I think it's the best OS I've used so far. Everything runs great, except for... games. I just can't run any game, old ones, new ones. Is there any trick on that? Thanks, Rebêlo.

oh boy, I'm having the same problem with Lost Planet... can't run the game, running Vista Ultimate 32-bit after vLite.

Hi there, sorry for bothering, but I think we urgently need a new build of vLite!! Even if it's alpha or whatever. The official launch (in Torrent sites, at least) of Halo 2 has changed a lot of things! Someone said 'Secondary Logon' is necessary, another one said 'Games Explorer' is also required. And I must admit that Halo 2 is indeed gonna be the only reason a lot of people will consider installing Vista. And in a month from now, we'll have Shadowrun which will probably kick some a** too! Please, new vLite build!! Rebêlo.

Hi, I had a similar problem after I disabled 'Software Licensing' after using Vista for a while. It doesn't make sense, but after putting it back to Automatic, everything was working just fine. I had the problem with Realtek audio (laptop) and Creative SB X-Fi as well. Try to check your services and set it back to default, or at least software licensing and see if it works? Rebêlo.

hello there, do we actually gain any performance or save RAM by removing windows firewall? thanks.
-
yes, but if you remove DWN, you won't be able to use the Vista theme - even the Aero Basic - or any other theme, right? And Vista classic style looks like crap, really. Even worse than Win2000.

Hi, After I installed a vLited Vista, I can no longer use my microphone in my Sony Vaio. It's a headset. The earphone works all right, but the microphone doesn't, even though Vista detects it and say it's working. Anyone had the same problem? Thanks.

Hello, please, what is your opinion? In terms of performance, is it better to use nLite to integrate the SP2 RC for Windows Server 2003 SP1 or integrate the boogy's update pack with the fixes for the same Windows? Thanks for any help, Rebêlo.
-
okay, now I will try. Thanks a lot, dude!

Hi, I have Windows Server 2003 SP1 already integrated and separately I have the SP2 (RC version). Can I integrate this SP2 into my installation folder of Windows 2003 SP1? Will it run properly? Thanks for any help, Rebêlo.

Hi there, Is it safe or not to remove Components Cache in the current release of vLite, if you don't install/uninstall Windows componentes? I mean, I do install and uninstall a lot of 3rd party software, but I don't mess around with that control panel icon to add/remove Windows componentes. Well, 900 Mb seems good to me for removing it... but will Vista be unstable? Thanks, Rebêlo.

Hi, now that we can assign drivers using vLite, where can we find them? Everytime I install Vista, WinUpdate says I have a newer driver for my GeForce Go 7400 (laptop) and the integrated video (Intel), but these drivers are not in their websites! Is there any good site to look for them? Thanks

Hi, after installing Vista - both original DVD and vlite - my Sony Vaio command buttons don't work anymore. Now I can't reduce the LCD brightness to save battery. Is there any way to solve this problem? Reducing the brightness really helps out... Thanks in advance.
-
the function keys of Vaio only works via software... and Vista does not identify these function keys. So, all functions keys (sound, brightness etc) are useless in Vista. It's really a mess.
-
Hi, thanks for the tips. But it's not wireless related. As I said, main problem is that we have less customizable options. Even LCD Brightness, a truly basic thing for laptops, we can't manage it within Vista. And Vaio's software - even being "vista capable" does not work I'll keep checking, thanks!
-
Guys, the way I see, the problem is not with Vista or XP, but with Sony's software. The Vaio Power Management in XP is **** good. It allows me to reduce the LCD brightness and that saves a lot of battery. I cannot reduce LCD brightness in Vista, how can I do that? In Vista, I cannot disable with a single-click my soundcard, LAN and DVD drive- that also saves a lot of battery. If they are enabled, even if you don't use them, they consume a bit of battery. Vaio Power Mgt in XP does a lot of things and is highly customizable. In Vista, I can't find even a mid-level of customizable options. My hotkeys buttons of Vaio (reduce brightness, sounds) don't work in Vista too... According to Sony (official website), the VGN-SZ1M/B (my laptop) is Vista capable. Thanks for any help.
-
Hi there, My current Sony Vaio laptop (VGN-SZ1M/B) has some neat power management in XP. I can stay writing at Word for 5 hours with everything else disabled (sound, lan, wlan etc). In Vista, I can't get to 3 hours, usually in 2h30 the battery is dead. Sony doesn't have the proper software yet and I personally doubt they will release new versions for Vista. Please, do you guys know any thid-party application that could do a better power management than Vista itself? Because Vista looks like crap for a laptop user, batteries run out so quickly. Thanks, Rebêlo.

wow, have you? there's no IE7 addon
-
hi, is there a way to trick nlite and integrate ie7 final? I can't put it to work and a new version of nLite is taking too long for the anxious fellows like me thanks
