i know and that shouldnt be a problem and this should be .inf files.. where is the difference if i add the reg keys with a .inf and they run or if i use the inf to add the reg keys from a.reg file and they run? i can say it you.. there is no difference ^^

you just have to install the latest hotfixes not only cumulative hotfixes. all this fixes contain the older fixed stuff

i test my pack every time i integrate new hotfixes! and this is every month not only one day because i integrate then not in one bunch. i make a real install of the pack on a fresh sp2 installed system with the win-install option and one with integrated pack! and if all works for me (and dynaletik test it too). if NOT then i install and fix it until it works! and i can say you its not just 1 day -.- to the .cat files: they are there to sign the files digital. if you would install the updates without the .cat files and without disabled sfc you would get a lot of messages. but if you integrate the files into source all is ok and no .cat is needed but in setuperr.log are many errors which say that the files arn't correctly signed and some .cat files fixes other stuff like kb888111. without the cat file errors popup during setup and after. no problems with it.

@janerik: remove windows!!! a lot of users are reporting errors!!!!! Remove nlite!!! a lot of users are reporting errors!!!! and i'm sure that i know what i do and how many bug i have reportet and atm all are fixed (just 1 not).. and as dynaletik sayed: if you dont want to use it then dont use it! other users want it and never have prolbems!

or just add own registry entries in -inf or .reg form

i think thats not the problem! my problem is that it dont execute the runonceex however i add the entries! i test them because i want to add them from a .inf file in xp setup

ok the problem is the wmp.dll! just copy it to system32 after winxp is started and leave the old wmp9 wmp.dll file in i386 and it works. now only check out why the new wmp.dll makes no problems when my updatepack is integrated ^^

but how to fix the problem when we directly integrate the files into cd?

i have absolute the same problem! every time if i integrate my created WMP11 addon and test the install the design service is disabled and xp hangs if i want to install my audio driver. But if i integrate the same WMP11 Addon pack AND my german Updatepack with nlite into te cd all works perfect! No problems no hang a "wonderful" design.. all great

you have to add the lines from entries.ini into the files its a nlite hotfix! and there it works!

if you want to know what the german freak is saying: hes playing a game where he have to kill someone. But then the pc was not responding anymore and he reboot. then he was swearing that it should boot up faster... (i think he has no time). after the pc boots up he startet the game again and killed ONE person but then he was killed and bang the keyboard onto the table. and so on.... edit: ups sorry now i see that video with subtitles (Thunderbolt 2864)

i installed 2k normal and installed IE6 then installed the 2 updates and OE doent longer work

and whats with MSOERT2.DLL from KB823353? this file is broken too! and i look into you bat file and this will not work! you have to delete the msoe.dll! i tested it by hand and every time when i replace the original or build 1478 msoe.dll file then does the error occure

or just save this file in normal windows notepad as ansi ! but the problem is that fedit.exe destroys the files if they arnt ansi or whatever!

yes i still get these errors! ok just the "could not load msoe.dll" error because the currupted MSOERT2.DLL ^^ so i cant see that the msoe.dll is corrupted too

the OE bug is fixed if i remove the msoe.dll build 1506 from source and use the build 1478 from KB887797 does work! and dont use MSOERT2.DLL from KB823353 does work, too! but if i install these 2 updates the errors are back

i never remove 16 bit system! some app installers need this ^^
