If you like EOD you would love BF:V, it's not a mod and you can tell. It's by no means revolutionary, but it's a solid game and while not worth the 40 bucks i paid, it's worth the 34 that bestbuy has it at. Oh, 1 more reason you may wanna put it off is that if you have an ATI card like I do you can't use AA or AF unless you use some "Tricks". Either EA or ATI need a patch before I can whole heartedly recommend this game.

Are You Ready For Some Football...
SupaFly-TNT replied to [PseudoKiller]'s topic in General Discussion
Go birds! Eagles may go all the way this year, and I won't be surprised! Not like any other team in our div is goin to the superbowl. GB just took a dive with their two guys goin out for the year, no way tampa can doit again (they aren't that good), and giants are however gonna give a nice battle. I wish the eagles had shockey, man what a team we would have. Looks like freddie mitchel may have actually done something this off season so I like our chances. -
I forget to it was but they were starting a hosting company about 4 months ago, maybe more or less. But i have some questions for whoever that was If you could, just leave a note here and we can hook up.

IntelliPoint software on Server 2003?
SupaFly-TNT replied to aypwip's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
Well MS has already said that they don't work and they are "working" on it. So i would expect an update sometime soon. Can't find the link atm but if i come across it i will edit the post. I found this out when i was having probs with my intellimouse software and had a conflict with the Logitech joystick software which made my mouse dissapear in the intellimouse software. I actually got the info from a newsgroup and a MS rep gave an answer..heres the log... That was posted ono 5/20/03....so sounds like u shouldn't hold ur breath.... SupaFly -
Wow, guess noone even tries to be undercover about that stuff anymore....hmmf...at least try to make it like u already bought the DVD and just need a new one to replace the scratched one

.3 rocks! This is like the best mod ever almost, with the exception of my baby in Quake (Battle of the Sexes), but man it has depth, style and is just flat out cool. Flying those gunships and harriers is a blast and they have tweaked just about everything i had a prob with last build. So in short im a happy camper, only thing im having trouble with is that ICBM artillary thing, it's confusin as hell to use and the fact they might try to charge for DC? BAH!! . But like i said, too many other good things to complain about that. SupaFly

Thats my only peve about it too. Not to mention the atmosphere in EVE is almost like work at times So basically your paying them for them to employ you through a virtual company if that even makes sense. But that is one of the things ive said id never do was pay for a service monthly *after* i supposadly bought the game already. Too much money is to be made and too much opportunity for companies not to go after it though. I just don't see how they would want to do that though considering young kids don't have CC's and therefore i would imagine would eliminate a lot of their potential customers and possibly not make it up with the subscription of the other older players. I dunno, im just happy im in the beta cus it's a fun game so far and i already have people i like and dislike within the company and it's making it a lot more interesting that way, so it seems like it's a solid base. It's a corp, just hasn't started or anything. It will be mine if i ever start one. Gonna be for hunting and taking out big bounties for contract from other companies. If I end up getting some good people we could be exclusive contract killers for critical mass. SupaFly

That game gave me the same error and was generally unstable. But you may need the patch, that did fix a few things that the game although i still got random crashes on occassion. Oh and if it's a illegal version then you may as well give up, all cd keys are unique. It's in the bargin bin now anyways, and isn't that expensive, i think i paid like 15 bucks. SupaFly

Your Views On Pricing For Hosting
SupaFly-TNT replied to XPerties's topic in Server - Side Help (IIS, Apache, etc.)
Well you definitely offer just about every current feature out, I just wonder about being able to support it all. Like the MySQL stuff is a hog if you get many subscribers. The general outlines look good though, and one more thing, do you plan on having the transfer per month be based on webpages only and not files? or is that included in the plan, i know that puts a huge strain on servers if people are hosting simply files or file(z). Far as price guidelnes go, you are following what the cheaper hosts are doing but slightly higher than my current host (powweb.com). I would actually go look at their operation because I was with them when they first started and they had many growing pains (and still do occassionally), but they started from a very small unit and how are one of the best value hosts out there. First off i agree with you, but i need to correct/challenge something you said. They are not "Doing the job for us" That is the job they chose to do and i do sincerely appreciate their job. But they *chose to go to the service, I chose to go to school, and the Air Force was a very close second place before i went to college. And on top of that i have family members in this war and that is the life they chose to take up, and I expect them to perform their JOB'S. I don't want anyone to die over there, but I don't think people understand that these people are working at their jobs and that happens to be protecting their country and very dangerous. Again, mistakes do happen, but it obviously needs to be worked on and tweaked, nothing is perfect in human nature, but so many accidents can be avoided with training and cautiousness. From what ive heard from the people over there that I have known is that training is not the greatest and defintely could be worked on, which is all im suggesting. SupaFly

Still seems odd that so many people got it, I also got that but deleted it :/ SupaFly

And make sure you turn off that dan preview pane in Outlook!! That is flat out the devil! SupaFly

Well accidents happen in war but the United States needs to seriously work on training their grunts better. This is just crazy to have so many deaths from the same side. Although the United States has triple the troops that the britsh do so with 250,000+ troops it does raise the bar for mistakes as compared to the 45,000 british guys. Basic statistics say there will be at least a few stupid people outta every so many. In the United States case, looks like we trump all SupaFly

I did notice that after you brought it up the last time, and it is very curious and concerning. Everytime i hear that something got shot at/down I always say "I hope the americans didn't do it". In this case though, one incident was where the jet actually targeted and fired on one of the patriot batteries and then was fired on, (i think the latest one), which you don't really have time to react if someomes targeting you when it's not expected. The others all seem to be just lapses in judgement and patience. On top of that the US guys that got caught "made a wrong turn"....wtf happened to radio contact when you realize you can't see anymore of your battalion? "Hey we are lost!, our gps position is at bla bla...we will w8 for you to find us, or something similar" I mean my mom doesn't even get lost anymore with her GPS nav system in her jeep, so come on! Anyway, I really hope this thing is over soon! I grow tired of hearing about war and death, it's very sad to have to fight all the time, and although im not fighting personally, It's still my fellow country men and women over there and in one case family. /me is fed up with the world! Being a IRC vet, id say efnet isn't a good channel to start in. First off it has no chan services or nick services, therefore making it so that anyone can assume your name, and anyone can be an operator on your channel and deop everyoen and take over your channel, (ive seen it done) Best network would likely have at least chanserv and preferably nickservices. SupaFly * If you don't know the definitions of the above here are some Chanserv - Allows one to register thair channel and assign operators/moderators to a list so that a set group will *always* be operators or moderators and won't allow a random person who happens to enter an empty room; say #MSFN , and be automatically opped without any checks. Nickserv - Allows one to assign a password to their unique nickname and will not allow others to assume the name and do things in someone elses behalf.
