  1. Okay I've attached the program, I can change the icon if you want. I've tested this with your v2.1 program, that sets up nothing and it works fine. Just remember to follow these instructions: 1) All themes must have thumbnail name the same as theme ie Luna.theme needs thumbnail Luna.jpg 2) Logons must use name format of LGUIXX.exe and thumbnails must also have the same name. 3) I've also included an image I use as a thumbnail when the theme or logon doesn't have a thumbnail. Just make sure this script is in the same directory as the LOVSC.exe and the Nothumb.jpg image I've included. Hope you like it lovsc_startup.exe
  2. Sorry it posted my reply twice so here I'll attach the nothumb picture.
  3. @Stuntgp2000 - Hey I don't know if you're interested, but I created a start-up script that automatically generates the LOVSC.INI file with all available logons and themes before running your program. It only requires a few prerequisites in order to work: 1) Just name the THEME thumbnails with the same theme name i.e Luna.theme's thumbnail will be named Luna.jpg 2) All logon exe files must follow the format LGUIXX.exe and the thumbnails get the same name just like with the themes That's it and for themes or logons that do not yet have a thumbnail, it automatically puts a picture in its place saying "No Thumbnail Available." Post back if you're interested, I made this script with AutoIt v3 and I'm willing to give you the source code for the exe.
  4. @demlak - BTW, using a computer is a security risk too, but no one on this forum has informed me of that one either AND for reference purposes, the last time I checked the ntoskrnl.exe file, it didn't have any security flaws that would compromise anything. Gosh was simply implying that if a Patch, Update, Service Pack, Rollup, or anything updated that file, that the OEMkrnl.exe file would still be useable and you wouldn't have to re-edit the ntoskrnl.exe file. As a final note, even if you weren't trying to offend anybody, you should be a little nicer with your remarks seeing as how you're a Junior Member and Gosh is a highly respectable member of the MSFN community who has contributed quite a lot of his knowledge and resources so people like you and I could have half a clue

  6. Alright, I've only tested this out briefly, but I think it will work Input Will Be Appreciated 1) First Download the attached file, it is an autoit exe file I have created to answer the EULA McAfee throws at you. 2) Next you'll want to find the file VSOVER.INI, scroll to the bottom of it and you should see: [InstallConfig] Welcome="-1" SilentInstall="0" ProductName="VirusScan Professional" RemoveSetupFiles="0" CDRomBuild="1" MISInstall="-1" CreateUninstShortcut="0" change SilentInstall="0" to SilentInstall="1" 3) If you're trying this install from the file VSP80EN.EXE then run the program first and wait for the Eula screen, then browse to %user profile%\Local Settings\Temp\vsp8.tmp and copy all of the files out. 4) After this, you should only have to run the attached program for a silent install. mc8.exe
  7. Seems to be working just fine, I'll know for sure when I make my next disk. Thanks for the information though.
  8. Thanks guys, but are you sure even if you're using an INF file to control RunOnceEx as described at http://gosh.msfnhosting.com/using_runonceex.htm
  9. I tried to follow the guide online to allow programs to be installed at the 13min mark during setup, but I can't understand it. If someone could provide an example of the files (maybe with the installation of 1 program) and where they go I would greatly appreciate it.
  10. I know flyakite mentioned HEX editing the windows setup files to change the color somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I'm trying to use a setup screen that is mostly white so white text obviously won't work. I'd like the keep the picture the way it is so I was wondering if someone would explain how to change the font color. Also if someone could host/post the Windows 2k3 winntbbu.dll file I would greatly appreciate it.
