Hi legolash2o ! I've made all Vista full install x86 or x64 (not vlited) without any driver or patch or update installed. And the SP1 x64 install gave me a BSOD every time on a very clean install !! lol The only thing i do every time after a clean install : i register Vista with the serial number PS : I've disabled wifi and the Jmicron controller in the bios !

Hi legolash2o ! Okay, if i give another try i send you a picture of the BSOD. Installed the x86 version of the SP1 on RTM x86 US and no BSOD, but the x64 version is more responsive for me with my hardware. I've made another Vlited install using the same vlite settings than x64 install and all work fine, even the registry software. I think that x64 version of Vista work better than x86 with 4 Go of RAM. And the copy file problem is not totally solved with x86. My hardware :

Installing SP1 over a clean, full Vista x64 : At the final reboot i have a bsod and "Crah Dump" initialized. If i try to reboot again i have always this error message. Here there is no usefull info on the BSOD (only hexa-decimal numbers). I cant reproduce this BSOD for the moment because i'm tired to reinstall, reinstall again and again !! lol Another strange thing : After the SP1 update, some of my registry software (registry snap, registry search & replace) cannot work properly (they read Wow6432Node in an infinite loop) due these lines added by SP1 in the registry : If i delete them all my registry software work well again, and Vista work like a charm without these lines !!

Hi legolash2o ! Yes i've seen the 'Installation Complete' screen. This install was completed after 30mn and multiple reboot. NB: I'm not able to install the SP1 over the complete version (RTM X64 US) !!!??? I have always a strange BSOD !! Thanks again for this post !

Hi legolash2o ! Installed v2.75_windows6.0_kb936330_x64.exe and worked fine for me on Vista x64 US. No problems, copy of multiple small files is faster than ever. Vista start faster and it seem that the NTFS file cache is used in an other maner than without SP1 (some operation are faster). My PC : Here are my presets :

Hi ! My swap is always disabled. I dont need it with 4Go of RAM (Vista is more responsive without swap). With swap file enabled/disabled the system says 3326MB with Vista 32 and 4096MB with Vista 64 !

Hi all ! I have 4 gig of memory in my PC and Vista 32 recognize only 3326MB. If i install Vista 64 all my memory is recognised. I must say that Vista 32 do not use PAE ! if i'm not wrong.

vLite 0.7 beta work fine for me, exepted WMP and explorer thumbnail view (of movies). It seem that vLite cancel Mpeg1/2 codecs integrated with WMP. If I reinstall Mpeg1/2 codecs and Vista codec pack, WMP and BSplayer are capable to play all movies. And the explorer thumbnail view work again. Thanks for your hard work on this piece of sofware !!
