whats all this stuff with t-12 and t-13 like the nlite addons etc

very clear now sorry i was pretty tired last nite just didnt have my head switched on i appreciate all the work u have done here and for being able to put up with me lol

if i install a program onto my 2nd hard drive and then reformat my first hard drive i have to reinstall the program again is there a way to find all the reg files the program creates and create a bat file to install the reg files again after reformat instead of having to reinstall the program

my source is ripped onto the hard drive and copied mutiple times to reuse as a source again i thought thats how it was done lol (i have massive hard drive space so doesnt bother me either and its quicker sorry for being hard to understand i understand u its on my end lol i cant word it properly yeah i just worked it out b4 i read this post i wasnt loading nlite last session ini i was just importing so wasnt getting the settings i had in the previous copy but wanted to do minor changes already run and use virtual box and yeah its good

i slipped wmp in with wmp11 intergrator can it be done with nlite?? i have a running system with the source i used for that attempt i ran nlite to add sp3 and ie7 along with wmp11 and it all worked so i use that as my source or do i have to do all of that aswell in 1 even if the source works? i didnt have a problem with the other 1 i done piece by piece like 10 times i havent installed any hotfixes yet wanted to test other stuff first edit i removed from remove files mstsc.exe dialer.exe htrn_jis.dll compatmode.htm and it seems to work so now how do i remove those programs from appearing in the start menu directories Program Compatibility Wizard - compatmode.htm HyperTerminal - htrn_jis.dll Remote Desktop Connection - mstsc.exe startmenu\accessories\ startmenu\accessories\communication

did you do it in 1 session of nlite also had your English OS source been altered b4 u used it when u done the nlite session did u have the files there to start with

i receive this error on first boot after install error creating process <c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\WMPEnc.exe /Regserver>. Reason: The system cannot find the file specified is this from a bad wmp11 slipstream... and ie7 isnt working just shows a blank icon with internet explorer and if i click it it just creates shortcuts of itself no idea on this..??? LAST_SESSION.INI

its a legal copy if thats what ur asking so i have no problems with that yeah has helped me a bit. im not good at wording things so even tho there probably easy they sound complicated http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949104 is the update agent, its needed to actually see the updates. i have found that by viewing my installed history

when i want to download and install updates i need to update the download manager and then b4 i can view the updates some genuine validation thing again!! is there like 200 versions out there now is WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe the file im looking for and what files is it for the genuine validation update and can these both be intergrated through nlite or as an addon

Ok so u have explored the features of nLite and had a crack at it now u really want to use it to its full potential heres a basic where to start guide for some of the main things u will need and use Prob reports if you have a problem with the install please create a new thread attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP WMP 11 slipstreamer Hotfixes to intergrate hotfixes heres some handy sites that list them RyanVM forum sp3 and sp2 has them as a pack file or seperate vorck.com sp3, ie6,ie7 all seperate Hotfix list on MSFN windows updater downloader or do it yourself with this program to search for and download manually Addons addons are programs that are setup to be intergrated into the xp cd and installed silently Addons list by rado354 WPI windows post installation lets you install programs after the installation of the os letting you choose what files u want to install for that specific computer instead of having them run silently using an addon just knocked up this quickly for a quick reference point for beginners

and i want to be a millionaire and pay someone to do everything for me *reality hits* doh #1 learn to spell if u cant get a spell checker or firefox that has 1 built in, i cant even understand what u want at this stage, whats a cumputer sounds dirty to me #2 search, read the forums n threads its not hard to do it yourself and acquire help in doing so #3 dont just expect everything how is anyones version going to work perfectly for your computer when we dont know what u need and use....

i have read the first 2 pages and am totally lost all i want is an addon that has (heres where im lost) all the net framework versions but im confused as do u need all or only 3.5 sp 1 or does 1.1 need to be installed first then 3.5 sp1 or does 2.0 need to be in there aswell?

why do u use either 1 and why is 1 better than the other

can i select all the settings and stuff i want to do and save it so if i was doing it piece by piece then when everything is done how i wanted i go through it and finish it so im only doing it in 1 session instead of doing a piece then finishing then doing a piece then finishing and maybe causing problems edit also on a similar path if i go through the whole lot and create an iso. if i load the last settings.ini can i create another exact copy off the same source or do i still have to remove components ect

im a bit lost with the switches ect what is it

ah ok then is there a way to select everything u want to do and save it but not actually do it until u have done everything

cheers very much thats gonna make it alot easier i have deleted the virtual machine i had it running on so its too hard to find what 1s wouldnt download i clicked on hte link to bring it up some had the download link in them and i manually downloaded them but the others just linked to what it done without a download link im still learning all the sites and forums about it at the moment

iv been a massive fan of customizing xp but only just found this beauty of a program a week ago iv done the basics n got my first test run working via virtual machine to c what else i wanted to change ect how do u guys download(and save) all the updates that u need so u can slipstream them into the install i need about 30 security updates but when i try to download some of them manually it keeps sending me in circles instead of the download link once iv fixed that ill probably need help with other things lol
