  1. whats up about firefox 0.9 unattended? :-) edmoncu, any improvements?
  2. Should i type "no" or just erase the line? Maybe this "yes" is needed for something else to be done?
  3. I followed this article from MSFN to install mIRC in an unattended windows XP CD but it turns out that after the successful installation of windows on the virtual machine (VMware), the folder mIRC was not copied into C:\Program Files ; and the other programs i had put inside \$OEM$\$1\$Progs have not been copied either. Does it need to be some sort of Command line in any files to make this? Thanks for your help
  4. ok.thanks. I have one last question, i would like to silently update windows sp1 with the most important updates (against sasser, and all that..) is there a .zip file of all the updates .exe somewhere? Thanks in advance
  5. Ok guys i found what is wrong. the Windows XP PRO SP1 files i used come from a CORPORATE version; so my XP pro key was not working. Thanks for all. by the way, do the serial in winnt.sif must be between " " ?
  6. You should use the pro switch But you cannot ask for a key on MSFN Plz read the rules in my signature |Drew| hey i didnt mean to Ask for a key.. But im asking what "kind" of key should i be using, since My VALID XP PRO one is not working apparently :-/

  10. Exactly, this is all true. :-) And i also used CD Image pro to create the .iso file. the file winnt.sif seems to be correct.
  11. wyattXP >> Ok i tried, with a valid serial and it still pops up the window Drewdatrip > thanks but how would that help me? :-)
  12. Ok thanks lets try that.. (but i doubt it, as i got the setup manager off my winxp SP1 pro CD .. so it must be the same file :-/)
  13. Its windows XP PRO and my key is Valid!
  14. Hello I am running Virtual PC trial, in order to test my Windows XP SP1 "simple" unattended CD. I say Simple, because i only used setupmgr.exe (in deploy.cab) in order to create the two files, winnt.sif and winnt.bat. So the installation starts, it goes to "Installing devices"... and then, when this part is over, (about 34minutes remaining) it pops up the Product Key window (which is NOT supposed to happen)and it wants me to enter the key. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance gilles
  15. So whats up about CursorXP ? is it possible to make a unattended install ?
